About FlyOrDie Snooker
FlyOrDie Snooker is a free online multiplayer snooker game you can play in your browser, without
downloading a game client. Play against real opponents, practise on your own, or watch other players
at the table. The classic game uses 15 reds, six colours and a white cue ball, with the familiar
challenge of potting balls while leaving yourself a good next shot.
Getting started: guest play and practice

If you're new to FlyOrDie Snooker, choose Practice first. Solo practice gives you space to get
comfortable with aiming, shot strength and cue-ball control before facing another player.
Aiming, shooting and controlling the cue ball
On a computer, select Aim and hold the left mouse button while moving the mouse to line up your
shot. To strike, hold the right mouse button or select Shoot, draw the cue back by moving down,
then move up to hit the ball. A faster forward movement produces a harder shot. Fine Aim helps
with small adjustments, and Spin lets you change how the white reacts after contact.
On a touchscreen, drag left or right to aim and use the control icons to adjust your shot.
You can switch between a top view and a 3D view to read the table from different angles.
The FlyOrDie billiards controls guide
explains the mouse and touch controls in detail.
Scoring and the order of play
The aim is to finish the frame with more points than your opponent. Reds are worth 1 point each;
yellow is worth 2, green 3, brown 4, blue 5, pink 6 and black 7. Pot a red, nominate and pot a colour,
then look for another red. Colours are respotted during this sequence, while potted reds stay off
the table. After the last red and its following colour, clear the remaining colours in order:
yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black.
A break is the total you score during one visit to the table. A standard maximum break of 147
comes from potting all 15 reds with a black after each, followed by the six colours.
You don't need a big break to enjoy a close frame: a few well-chosen pots and a good safety can
make the difference.
Fouls and FlyOrDie's shot clock
Hitting the wrong ball first, potting the wrong ball or potting the white gives penalty points
to your opponent. In classic FlyOrDie Snooker, you have 60 seconds per shot; running out of time
is a foul worth 7 points. The foul-and-a-miss rule applies only in PRO mode.

Building breaks and playing safe
Before you pot a ball, decide where you want the white to finish. Start with short pots and
controlled pace, then experiment with spin as your positioning improves. Chasing the black on
every visit can leave you with a difficult next red; an easier colour may keep your break going.
When a pot looks risky, consider a safety that leaves your opponent a difficult shot instead.
Watching live games is another way to see how players balance scoring chances with defence.
Online opponents, ratings and tournaments
Multiplayer brings a different challenge to every frame: one opponent may attack long pots,
while another makes you work through patient safety exchanges. Sign in to follow your rating
and chat with other players. When you're ready for organised competition, check the tournament
schedule on the game page for upcoming snooker events.
Classic Snooker, Quick Snooker and Snooker Lite
Choose classic Snooker for the full 15-red game. For a shorter format,
Quick Snooker uses six reds on a smaller
table and a 25-second shot clock.
Snooker Lite uses a pool-sized table
and pool-sized balls, with ten reds or an optional six. Each version keeps the red-and-colour
scoring pattern, so you can choose the format that suits your time and playing style.
