In my opinion, the bots should either be removed from the game or not have a rating attached to them. They take away from the competitive experience because some players farm them for easy points to climb the leaderboard. I don't think that's healthy for the game or the community.

We believe the benefits of rated bot games outweigh the drawbacks. We are aware that some players may try to farm rating, but unfortunately some users will try to exploit any system regardless of the features we implement. The rating system is self-adjusting, similar to Elo, so farming cannot continue indefinitely. It is further limited by treating results against the same opponent as a group rather than as completely independent games. Rating is not intended to be an asset to accumulate, but a tool for matching players of similar strength, because those games are generally the most enjoyable. We understand, however, that many players still perceive their rating as something they own and want to protect.

Thank you for your response developer! As for Illuminati's concern i feel if the bot difficulty is adjusted according to our rank/colour as a player, the farming issue will be more or less sorted.
Good morning "DEVELOPER" I think it's a very good initiative. I believe the goal is to make it easier to find opponents during periods of low traffic, mainly during European morning hours.
When there were no bots, the top players were barely reaching 500 points on the leaderboard. Since the bots were added, players have continued farming points. Just look at ****, who is currently at *** and plays against the bots every day. No one had reached an 800 rating in Four in a Row for years because of the small player base, but the introduction of bots has made it much easier to gain points. It used to happen in Bowling with the bots as well. A few times the bots bugged out, froze, stopped the timer, and ended up kicking us from the game, causing us to lose. Unfortunately, nobody ever made a forum topic about it. The bots are useful, but sometimes they can create more problems than they solve. If the issue can be fixed so that it's fair for everyone, then I don't have a problem with them.

Hi SoLLUMINATI, One person’s perspective or experience is not a universal truth for everyone. While you might feel frustrated by the addition of the Dragon bots, looking at the bigger picture reveals they are actually a massive win for the game’s health. First, the claim that players can 'farm' these Dragon bots for easy leaderboard points is not correct. Some of these bots operate at a master-level tier. They are incredibly difficult to beat, in fact, many players can't win against the "weakest" one. Like myself. Four in a Row has historically suffered from low player counts, leading to long, discouraging wait times in the matchmaking queue. The implementation of these bots solves this perfectly. You can now always find a game.

I agree that bots can be a good way to attract new players and give people a chance to practice different tactics without having to rely on other real players being available. However, what I find unfair, and potentially harmful to competitive integrity, is that matches against bots affect rating. In my opinion, they shouldn't. The current system encourages some players to play almost exclusively against bots to increase their rating while avoiding matches against real players. That doesn't represent genuine competitive progression. It artificially inflates ratings through bot games rather than reflecting performance against the actual player base. For that reason, I think removing rating gains and losses from matches against bots would be a good change. Bots could still serve their purpose for practice and accessibility, without having an impact on the competitive ranking system.
That’s a good point, and I can see this side of the medal as well. The concern about bot matches influencing rating and not truly reflecting performance against real opponents is understandable.
Yes , Yes, they are robots, i believe they only appear if there are not enough human players. How they interfere? All of them have a specific play power. So the aim is to make it easier to find opponent in the time periods when the traffic is low, mostly during the European morning hours. This is the response I received.
