chicken or the egg ? ;\ im confused.
how about this? theres no chicken without egg and no egg without chicken.

I've got a trickier brain-teaser for you...

3 students enter a local TV shop having seen a new widescreen TV available for £300. They each pay £100 to buy the set.
As the salesman is bringing the set to them, the manager points out that it is on special offer and only costs £250.
The salesman decides to give each student £10 back and keeps the other £20 for himself.
Everyone appears happy, but work this out.
Each student has now paid £90, which equals £270.
The salesman has kept £20 which added to the £270 makes £290, but the students initially paid £100 each, equaling £300.

Where is the missing £10?

he gives em £10 back which is £30 then keeps £20 for himself which adds up to £50 plus to £250 for the t.v equalling £300

trick question no ty.
Trick question, no thank you? WTF you dont make sense
ok then smart pink alien...what about this....?

One day a man received a parcel in the post. Carefully packed inside was a human arm. He examined it, repacked it and then sent it on to another man. The second man also carefully examined the arm before taking it to the woods and burying it. Why did they do this?
how am i supposed to know that :|
its off the same site where i got the other 1 from
well i dont know this site so i wudnt know :|

3 men stuck on an island with no food, so they say lets cut each others arm off for food, they swear that each wud ave the left arm cut off, one of em was a doctor so he cut the other 2's off, then they were rescued. then wen they got home the doctor had t stick to the pact so he cut his off n sent it to his colleagues, tyvm
u cheat! u found that answer on the net. i was looking for it too, and was about to write something like u did, but u beat me too it. you didnt figure that out yourself because u wrote before, "how am i supposed to figure that out?!"
I'd say this is simple: you're asking about EGG or CHICKEN to be first. Now, looking back several million years ago, dinosaurs roamed the earth...and other ancient creatures, long before anything resembling a chicken came into existence. Well those Jurassic animals laid EGGS (dinosaurs, for instance), hence the egg came way before the chicken. :-)

Now, if you refine the question to read: "Was the chicken or the chicken-egg first?", it'll be another story...I'd still go for the egg though since anything that looks like a chicken had to come out of some egg first.

Cheers,
LowScore
alama... I've heard that 1st one before. Is tricky to think about but the £20 the salesman got is off the £270 to make £250 not other way round... right :D?
wd nick, tht has had me brain dead for ages, got a headache now :D (ps it anth btw)
i really dont understand it killer kebab :D
Well done KK, the 20 in already included in the 270.

As for the chicken or the egg, the answer is logically simple. If you believe in creation, then it's whichever one was created first - and we have no idea about that. If you believe in evolution, then it has to be the egg. It would have been the chicken's predecessor which laid it. Of course, the changes would have been subtle over time, but the logic is the same.
I believe in evolution, so its got to be the egg first.
If you want some more brain-teasers, I'll post them.
the chicken evolved the tecnique of laying eggs, doh
chicken. god created all grown animals.
The cockrel came first....it laid the chicken!!!...:p
You want brain teasers? I got a few....

A man walked to town uphill at 3mph and returned downhill at 5mph... the whole journey (there and back) took him 7 hours...what was the distance to the town?

60 people were at a party...
30 drank beer
23 drank wine
22 drank whisky
8 drank beer & wine
5 drank beer & whisky
7 drank whisky & wine
2 drank beer, wine and whisky
a)How many drank only 1 sort of drink?
b)How many didn't drink any?

I got more if you want them....:p

41 People had just one drink, whilst only 4 had none.
Close Beppe but wrong to the party question and right for the walk...(y)
Here are another couple.....

Bob said to Mary; "If I add half of my money to yours it will be enough to buy 2 chocolate bars." Mary replied " If I add half of my money to yours how many can we buy?"
Bob replies "One chocolate bar" How much money did Bob have?

The combined ages of Helen and Peter was 44 years. Peter was twice as old as Helen was when Peter was half as old as Helen was to be when Helen was three times as old as Peter was when Peter was three times as old as Helen. How old were they?

PS: yes I did work them out myself before I posted them here and no I didn't use a calculator just like you shouldn't..:p

just got home from work and to tired to even think about them 2of3! give me a couple of hours n if beppe aint turned up ill solve em ;)
Sorry, I meant 3 had no drinks.
Yes Beppe thats right now...(y) I think you gonna have to help the power with the next 2...;)
The first is obvious, Bob has no money.

The second is too confusing for me to even read.
3 men go into a motel. The man behind the desk said the room is US$30, so each man paid US$10 and went to their room.

A while later the man behind the desk realized the room was only US$25, so he sent the bellboy to the 3 guys' room with US$5. On the way, the bellboy couldn't figure out how to split US$5 evenly between 3 men, so he decides to give each man US$1 and kept the other US$2 for himself.

This meant that the 3 men each paid US$9 for the room, which is a total of US$27. Add the US$2 that the bellboy kept brings the total to US$29.

Where is the other dollar!?

What other dollar? The three men paid 9 and kept 1 each, making 30.
That is the same puzzle that alama05 set Marc...;) at least the same principle...:p
who is alma05 dave? mike sent me that puzzle bout 2 years ago n noone could solve it so i took it into work n someone worked it out :p
dohh srry i just read back in this post

Lets Assume they have the same Birthday.

Peter is 27-1/2 and Helen 16-1/2

Am I right?

Well each man paid an initial $8.33, so with the additional dollar that each person got back, they technically paid $9.33. That number times 3 (for the 3 guests) equals $28. That, added to the $2 the bellboy stole, equals $30. So there is no missing dollar.
Wtg snipe (y)
I'll find a few more...looks like these ones r too easy....lol....:p
i think you all pretty smart coz i probably wouldnt have figured out any of them so well done
