ohhh and i forgot to write my activities. well my program goes like that summer lessons, gym, going out friday saturday sunday:lots of sleep and clubbing... it s gonna be perfect:d
Me? hm .. work, movies, and FlyOrDie :p PS: Don't watch Cinderella Man .. it's a boring movie (except the last 10-15 minutes maybe):(/* billiardman going a little overboard on your words ? :D
Summer for me = more online classes, Italy (which I live in, but haven't seen all of), Paris, moving to Japan, and fishing at the lake.
your going to japan!!! i would love to go there..i think im going with my karate club in 2007:)
well hara m8 it wasnt intended...:( i dont think it was that annoying anyway, was it:s? i apologised already after all... :)
Yes Hara, My husband and I are moving to mainland Japan. I have lived there before. Let me think from 11th grade to 12th grade...then I moved away for college then moved back for another couple years. Ever heard of an island called Okinawa? That is my home to me. Great island! I think you may like Japan if you go. I'm looking forward to going back the Far East and getting out of Europe. I look forward to one day going back the United States though. Just gonna be awhile. Awesome, you do karate. I as well, Tae Kwon Do. I've done it since the age of 14. Its...hmmm...my form of meditation. Keep it up! It will be great for you in the long run.
Dabomb24...you are right the U.S. triumphed in the battle of Okinawa during WWII. It is known as one of the bloodiest battles ever. Approximatly 7,000 American soldiers were lost and 100,000 Japanese lives were lost. There is a beautiful cliff located there known as suicide cliff. It is the cliff where hundreds of soldiers leaped off to their death rather then surrender. Okinawa is rich in history. But aside from that...a great place to visit. Hey USA striker...that backyard can be fun too :)
well, not really srs. i live in a hugely populated area of bugs. i dont think we have any virus carrying bugs, but there sure are a LOT!
Dambomb... Oh perhaps we are both mistaken now :) I took a look at that website you provided - an informative one at that. It says the following: "The year 1945 was defined by the Battle of Okinawa. This was one of the last major battles of World War II, claiming the lives of an estimated ((120,000)) people. The Ryūkyūs were the only places where there was a land battle in Japan during WWII. In addition to the Japanese military personnel who died in the Battle for Okinawa, more than one third of the civilian population, ((300,000)) people, died. The Okinawan victims were not only killed by bombs and shells, but also by the Japanese military.
USA Striker...Oh bugs... That has to be the one absolute thing I hate about summer...all those darn bugs. I am such a little sissy when it comes to bugs. Doesn't matter what type of bug either. We get some weird bugs here in Italy. I don't even know what they are called. The bug I get chills over the most are cockroaches...ewww...just thinking of it sends me into chills. Well, sorry for the buggies.
Yeah, i meant 19,800 US killed because you just said 7000. Anyway, Japan seems like to really peaceful place to visit nowadays. Have you ever seen "The Next Karate Kid"?
watch out srs! dont let cockroaches get into your house(or any bug for that matter) because if they leave their droppings near a heated area, u could all get very sick. try closing doors as quickly as possible or use traps. stay alert this summer! -striker
ahh srs yea i know okinawa, my style of karate originated there, sensai funakoshi i believe founded shotokan, and my style is a mixture of shotokan and ju-jitsu. i hope you enjoy moving back:) i will keep it up:p i have been doing it for 10 years:)
Already had mine - a honeymoon in a spa on Koh Samui (Thailand) followed by two and a half months in SE Asia. Starting in January we visited Bangkok, Kuala Lumpar, saw wild orang-utans in Borneo as well as a giant green turtle laying eggs on a beach on a nearby island. We then spent a week in Myanmar (Burma) which was so amazingly non-westernised. Next we spent a few days on a homestay program at an elephant sanctury in Chiang Mai, N Thailand - this was the most amazing experience for me.

if you are ever in that area, it's unforgetable! Angkor Wat (Cambodia) is a must for anyone in the region, but you'll be saddened by the plight of most of the locals. Saigon was amazingly cool, whilst the rest of Vietnam provided some absolutely stunning scenery. We topped it all off with a few days in Kyoto, Japan, which was an experience in it's own right. Every country had it's charms, and it's a fantastic trip if anyone has the time to do this. Hara, what style of Shotokan do you do? I used to train under Sensei's Enoeda and Ohta in London (ex KUGB, now JKA England). It's good fun, especially the higher level stuff.
wow!!! nice holiday beppe!!!! i would love to travel asia, its my dream...... i dont do shotokan, i said a combination. its wado-ryu, but not with tatsuo suzuki as grand master rather than ohtsuka 2nd. i belive sensei suzuki is very well respected in japan. what belt did you get to?

Dabomb234 - I think I have seen the next karate kid. I am not sure though. Is it the one that has the girl as his Mr. Miyagi's student? He is from Okinawa. USA Striker - Hmm, well it is too late for that. Unfortunately we live in a very old house and things manage to creep their little way in. We have a good control on them it seems. Only once in a great blue moon will I come across a roach, ant, and spider. We do get these odd looking bugs...I think they are millipedes..don't know though. Anyway, so...I guess I didn't really know you could get sick if they laid their droppings in heated areas. Makes sense though. Well, I'll do my best to keep them buggies out. Thanks. Hara - Oh cool! 10 years is a long time. That is great that you enjoy it. Isn't martial arts such a great thing to be involved in? I've learned so much from my masters over the years and so much about myself and how to apply to real life situations. Its not just about the physical aspect but the mental as well. That is why I have enjoyed the artform for so long now. I'm sure I am going to enjoy my move back. Thank you. This time we are going to reside for three years in Yokota...It is pretty close to Tokyo. Its gonna be a blast. I get to go Climb Mt. Fuji...I've always wanted to do that. Beppe - Congratulations on getting married (?) I am assuming that is what happened since you had a honeymoon. Wasn't Thailand just fantastic!?! I really had a nice time spent there.
yes srs you are correct. it is that movie with Mr. Miyagi.

yeah congrats beppe. i had no idea
Hara - I know of Wado Ryu, it's one of the four main karate styles. I was chasing my JKA 1st Dan before quitting to go to Switzerland for 5 years. I am now training with a Shoto-Ryu club (Shotokan with a little aikido and goju-ryu influence added) having moved to Canada in April. It will probably take me through to the end of the year to get my standard back up to brown belt, then once I grade into their style another year or so before they let me take black. It's frustrating because I was sooooo close before. To those who mentioned it - I married a Canadian girl in BC at the end of December. Thanks for your kind words :)
well, srs, if those weird bugs are very long, u were right. millipedes dont really harm people. i dont think they have any means of attack. they probably just eat leaves. lol. these bugs are harmless. -striker
my summer will probably be in my backyard, florida maybe, my real fathers house up north in michigan, and at home sittin at the computer, or playin video games.
Snooka Playa - Oh you would hate my home then maybe. There is this huge pine tree located in the front of my home. And the wasps are insane about it. They build tons of nests every summer. It is sooo scarey having to buy the raid wasp killer and kill them ourselves. Its funny we spray then then we run for the hills :p
