In my opinion that name should not be allowed.

Common sense says you shouldn't be able to copy a name such as Veriac, Beppe or  Jamez because they are something that is unique and if you saw a name in special characters similar to those, you would assume it's Veriac (or Beppe orJamez).
Or course, occassionally someone may come along with the name Jamez with could just be a coincidence!

With names such as "The Wizard" or "Caption" they are not "unique words" and therefore in my opinion those names should be allowed to be copied 

unless

 the name is made with the sole purpose of imitating the person they have copied.

Just my 2 cents. :)

So in response to the question, unless that is a total coincidence, no, I don't think that name should be allowed.

I only used Veriac's name because it was basically the first name I thought of. I disagree because I think that nicknames should all be unique. This would cause a lot of commotion so it can't be done but my inital query was just out of curiosity.

i had same problem i used nickname illbemissingme i got thrown out because there is  a illbemissingu who apparently has been banned perm so i could have stayed as that name it is getting sad i mean wat a bout chelsearule or chelseafc or chelsea or liverpool or liverpool fc does it matter

Maybe Wizard but what if someone took the name Ronnie O'Sullivan? Hundreds of nicknames would have to be deleted.

wat difference does it make.. having another Veriac mite make some people think that he's a mod undercover :p.. i dont like veriac anyway.. he smells :p

It would be nice if implemented was a way to change your Nick, then if you notice any similarities with others, or are told to change, you can.

I agree. I don't think all copies of nicks are intentional so instead of a band they should just be told to change.

I saw today somebody called Marc Detroux. I think this nick is very similar to Marc Dutroux, a french murderer.
