I believe tht in 9ball u should be awarded the win if u break and the 9 does go into the pocket at a certain point on the 1ball and a certain speed. If the 9ball would have to go in you should win the match. :D Judgement Day ;)

Potting 9 From Break

The Official World rules for 9-ball tournaments state that if the 9 is potted on the break, it is re-spotted :D
What set of rules did you get that from Veriac? All the versions I have read state that the game is over when the 9 ball is legally potted.
BCA Tournament Rules...
5.14 END OF GAME On the opening break, the game is considered to have commenced once the cue ball has been struck by the cue tip. The 1-ball must be legally contacted on the break shot. The game ends at the end of a legal shot which pockets the 9-ball, or when a player forfeits the game as the result of a foul.
9ball.co.uk Rules...
End Of Game The game is over when a legal shot results in the 9 ball being pocketed, or if a player loses by conceding 3 consecutive fouls.
sorry, i got confused with 8ball, where if you pot the 8 off the break the game is either a re-rack, or the 8 is re-spotted.
So you are human after all... :D Anyway, to answer the original point - I don't think a straight win would be a good idea in a computer game, as eventually someone will find a way of replicating a winning break. Imho FoD have got this rule right here.
Why do u lot play 9 ball?, there isn't much skill 2 it amd theres lots of flukes n arguing ;) go play snooker and c if u r actually any gud at this game;)
the only thing that actually makes 9ball worth spending some time playing it is the skill it requires to get good positions with the cue ball.but that unfortunately is only in the high ratings,(5) or even (4) and above... its really annoying all the fluke u have to face until u get at (5) or (4). surely its not recommended to bad luckers(like me lol, although i reached far enough for my luck:p)
Totally wrong billiardman because when I was a one ball in 9-ball ages ago, I'd say 3/4 of the players three-ball+ went for flukes near every shot.
I never played 9 ball at all here in Fod so I can't make a judgement on how fun the game is. But i seen the game on TV and I think the game is based on tons of skill. See those masters on TV? Ya know, peeps like Efren Reyes the Filipino guy, Steve Davis the British guy, and of course Johnny Archer of the United States of America!. They're absolutely amazing. I think it takes lots of skill trying to pot balls based on their numbers as that would demand a keen sense on how to position the cueball properly for shots. Oh yeah ,I also think Tom Cruise in the "Color of Money" whoops all their butts lol.
well wizard u mught be right dunno but when i was still playing 9ball i found quite a few ppl that were actually trying and not hit n hoping:)
