I think you'll find people get banned for abusing the rules. Not because the Mods/Admins feel like it at that particular moment in time.

The reason there are Mods is simply to uphold the rules and make the FlyOrDie games a fun place to play. Not a day go's past without me seeing someone abusing another player in the lobby's, or without a flaming match kicking off. People that do this are ruining the games for the rest of us.

Now consider this: How often do you walk down the street and see two strangers being incredibly rude to each other and using foul language? Not very often. How often do you see that on the telephone? Not very often. How often do you see that on the Internet? A lot. Once you become 'anonymous' people think they can get away with murder. They can't.

The Moderators are here to make the games enjoyable for the players. People that just want to abuse each other shouldn't even bother playing.

 the case then all your names should be banned. I lose track of how many people on these games change names and think they can be forgiven for past sins. 

If you followed the rules you wouldn't have been banned. Simple. Maybe you'll take that into consideration next time?

Right. I see. So I'm talking 'crap' about zzTOPzz, and yet you have never heard of him? You must be talking sense then eh? ;) Oh look, my pants seem to be on fire. I wonder what caused that.

As for GOLDENLEAF's behavior, it's not something that I am aware of, although he did seem quite proud of the fact his 'Moderator' privilege had been revoked. But that's neither here nor there. And it certainly isn't what this topic is about. 

If you're trying to entice me into a flaming match: you neither have the skill or the ability to do so. Better people have tried and failed on that score. I'm neither here to subject people to abuse, or to 

BE

 subjected to abuse. Neither are the Mod's. They're here to 'police' the lobby's, enforce the rules and where neccessary take appropriate action. 

The actions of a single moderator I.e. GOLDENLEAF (whatever it is he did) ahould not be reflected on their colleagues. They're here to do a job, not to be targets for abuse. If people respected each other, and follow basic 'netiquette' there wouldn't be a need for Moderators. But people don't and there is. 

For the record I'm NOT a Mod. I neither spend enough time in the games, or think I have the qualities to be one. I've been around these games for well over a year now, and have seen it all. Hardly anything surprises me nowadays. I've seen leagues come and go, I've seen players come and go. And still the world keeps spinning and people in the games do not follow the code of conduct.  

Even basic league rules are broken on a daily basis, but that's something I'll cover in a topic another time. For now zzTOPzz has my support. If I see anything that makes me change my view, I'll let you know.

Moderators (to my knowledge) don't receive any form of recompense or any priviledges for doing the job. They do it because they want to make the games a friendly place to come and play or chat. The amount of abuse I've seen some getting is amazing. And all because they are a figure of authority. I'd guess a lot of the players on the games are teenage boys, as this is a natural reaction during puberty. I know I went through it: 'Kevin the Teenager' can be unsettling sometimes it so true. 

You wouldn't go up to a Policeman and start abusing him in the street would you? Thought not. And if you did, well you'd be arrested for your behavior. Think of the Mod's as the Police: they're there to enforce the rules, and make the games a pleasant environment to be in. Give those that deserve it the respect they are due.

Mr. Bishi, thank you for your support of the moderator initiative. Yours is a welcome voice of maturity and reason. When people complain about moderators in general, what they are saying is they want the right to use vulgar language, insult others, be hateful or racist and be generally disrespectful of others and the gaming environment. I can't imagine why any decent person would  support that kind of behaviour, but that's exactly what is taking place here. 

Fortunately, the vast majority of both the bad behavior and the complaining about moderation is committed by a very limited number of people. Unfortunately, those few people make the most noise and get the lion's share of the attention. So let me say on behalf of all the moderators: We appreciate the overwhelming majority of you regular players that exhibit decency and good sportsmanship and have expressed support for us.

i agree w/ ghost but some of you MODS should be aware more cuz some of yall sleep it seems like and you shouldn't ban ppl for no reason . I think ZztopZZ is doin his job and he's not supposted to be perfect you know he's only human , Give him a break for once and try to talk and work this out. i don't agree w/ those who think he should be banned though.

i agree to a certain extent, some mod's do there job good, zztopzz doesn't do his job good at all, he has gotten the most complaints of any person ever on flyordie, i know that for a fact, i cant believe with all of these complaints flyordie hasn't taken his mod. privledges away, none of you know what he does until he does it to you, some of you are just kissing tail so flyordie will like you and make you a mod so you can do the same thing, if you like zztopzz then ur a complete and utter loser, i have so much stuff i could sue flyordie on and him too personally, stuff i've seen people sue on t.v. for a lot of money, very very tempting....

i've had a change of heart, mod's have it pretty bad sometimes and it isn't easy doing there job, i think we should all just stop hounding them so much and just accept what they give us, they're only trying to make the site a cleaned up place, and you have to admit it has gotten pretty bad with the language and the dirty talk that goes on in there, so lets just give them a chance.

As far as I am aware you are neither a Moderator/Admin nor work for FlyOrDie in any other capacity, so speculating on how many 'complaints' FlyOrDie has recieved about zzTOPzz is exactly that: speculation. You might have a grievance with him, but that doesn't prove that other people have. 

Neither could you 'sue' FlyOrDie or zzTOPzz himself, regardless of how much 'stuff' you claim to 'have'. The precise reason for not being able to sue would be far too long and boring for the majority of people on here to be bothered about reading. You should watch less TV. It'll rot your brain eventually. 

Having read your last post however, I'm confident you have had a change of heart. The exact reason for this we'll probably never know, but at least you are big enough to admit you were wrong and acknowledge the hard work that the Mod's put in. Hopefully this attitude will last.

He kinda got into it with me, and when I left him and the situation alone, he came into where i was playing an 8ball game and started harassing me, going on his lil power trip, and saying I better watch myself, and then he booted me when I didn't say anything bad...... This is getting extremely old and rediculas.

LOL!!!!!!, you mods are so funny. Yes, moderators should remove those being rude and cussing and dissobeying the rules. I don't talk crap (can I say crap?) when i'm in the rooms, I go there to play, and i'm friendly all the time. I don't cause trouble, I may voice my opinion when I feel the need, but it's not in an angry or dissruptive manner. And I know mystikalmindz, he comes here to play and not to cause trouble aswell.
