Remembering MaxPoland – Another Sad Loss for Our Community
Hi everyone,

It’s with a really heavy heart that I have to announce another passing of a dear fellow player today. A few weeks ago, we lost a true long-time member of our community and a dear friend to many of us—MaxPoland. He passed away after being poorly in the hospital.

Max had been with us on FlyOrDie since way back in 2004, earning his FOD God status along the way. While you might have caught him around the 8-ball or 9-ball rooms, snooker was really his main home. He wasn't one for big drama or shouting in chat—he was just a genuinely quiet, polite, and decent guy who always made sure to drop a friendly "hi" whenever you crossed paths with him at the tables.

For over twenty years, Max was simply a gentle, reliable presence around here, and the site feels a little emptier without him lining up another frame.

To everyone who played with him, knew him, or shared a quiet game over the years, I know he’ll be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Max.
Thank you for being such a good friend to our community.

Sad news. He will be missed. He was a fearless snooker player, who knocked in some crazy pots. No ball was safe with MaxPoland around. RIP Max.

Will not be the same without him 😓
Very sad news. I didn’t know Max particularly well personally, but we played a lot of 9 Ball together over the years and I always found him friendly and respectful.

Another familiar face from the community who will be sadly missed. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Max.
I knew Max quite well; we were friends. I recall all our conversations; he always greeted me and was sincere, yet quite reserved. One day he confided in me and shared some details about himself; I always recall that day and hold it close to my heart. The only person he preferred over me was my older brother _UltimateSkillz_.

We have faced off numerous times in Snooker; specifically, I recall competing against him in snooker, 8-ball, and 9-ball tournaments as well. We have also participated in 8ball and 9ball numerous times.

I hope I made you proud, friend. I attended the 9-ball tournament on (28/07/26) to honor you and your involvement in this game. Also I participated in the blackball tournament and finished 2nd on (03/08/26) I hope I did you proud and I paid my respects to you.

I can truly say from the depths of my heart that he was genuinely a kind and humble person who valued his friends. He possessed a generous heart, yet in the end, he was a gentle, kind-natured individual, a kindred spirit. Rest in peace, my friend; you're truly a legend, Max! You will be profoundly missed; I extend my sympathies to your family and friends.

A few games of 8-ball in the past, a decent guy and good advice.
My sincere condolences to the family. RIP Max.
I knew MaxPoland, had some good matches with him. Not many matches, but some good ones. He was a strong player. Rest in Peace Max.
