looking at the options on msn messenger..  it appears those tabs cannot be dis-abled..  
I was actually looking to do the same..   and maybe change the skin on it...  but it dosen't seem to have a skin changer either  

There are loads of skins at mess.be but they are really confusing and I don't really want to go that far. I just downloaded MSN Messenger 6.1 which I have to say is very nice and classy looking.

were you using 6.0 before?   whats the difference between 6.0 and 6.1 ?   is it worth getting the new version?

Well to be honest It's bound to be better.It's upgraded! You can choose a colour background for different people and i think it's good.

Not that much difference, no, just the conversation windows look a little nicer because you can remove the outer blue. Apart from that I have noticed no difference and STILL GOT TABS !

changes in 6.1 that 6.0 dont have:

1. In ur IM box under file edit tools so on u will see 2 lil arrows if u click that ur menu disappears gives the IM box a nice look just click the arrow again to get it back.

2. like RFC said the backround change in ur IM box u will see MSN writtin on the right side, right below that u will see a paintbrush kind icon u click that choose a color u like and ur IM box backround changes to that color.

3. if u've noticed when u send a file or receive one there is a small preview of that file, if u go to tools and scroll down to Picture Preview in instant messages u can change it so ur preview is viewed larger.

4. When ur on an IM with someone and they have a cam u can see it becuz u see a lil cam icon next to their name, well now u can activate their cam by clicking on that lil cam. they have to accept of course but sometimes they get confused and think they are gunna view ur cam :p so peeps dont go bout nakey anymore :p

these are all the changes I myself have noticed for now, i also think there is one or 2 more games.

hi there people..im kinda new to this so go easy on me:o)
ok,im having problems with my msn messenger and hotmail accounts. i enter myt password into messenegr and an error message comes up saying i may not have a net account or my password is wrong.my password is correct...however i did reinstall aol the other day could that have something to do with it? anyways, i try to go to my hotmail account and try to sign into a new account but it keeps going to that busy server message!! im stuck! im imprisoned by msn!!! help me!! please!!!

1st things u need to consider are

1 if you have a firewall check your msn is aloowed to connect to the internet on it i.e. disable it then try msn if it works then its ur firewall.

2 reinstall messenger

3 check all your settings (inclueding internet)

giz a shout when youv done them and tell me if any of its worked

When I sign into msn messenger, it says that my account or user name is incorrect.. which im like totally confused. It also says that my password is incorrect. Including all of that it gives me an error...--> 0x91000303

But concluding that.. My Explorer will not let me sign into my account! =( Its killing me.. Anyone have an idea on whats wrong?
