It depends. If you blast the other player's first two stones out the rink before you have played two, and they were in the free guard zone, they'll get replaced. This is one of the rules of curling.
They shouldn't reappear unless you have broken that rule.

True. The rule in layman's terms is; "let the other player put their first 2 rocks in play, as long as they are not in the house. After you throw your first two rocks, you can hit any rock on the ice."

If the stones where put back it was early in the game your 1st or second shot or both, if you lost because of this your game probably needs work anyway. but Rake is right.
