Poker
Anyone play online poker? I'm itching to get started and start gambling some money every month as I think I'm not too bad for someone who's only been playing a couple months, just now I've been keeping to the freerolls but I've already won some money playing them (albeit not a lot).

So yeah, anyone play poker, and if so how good are ya? I.e how much have you won/lost? :D
the thing is with online sites martin as ive fount out is wen u 1st start playing u get wins but after that ur lucky 2 keep it up u lose more than u win :( but gl 2u
Yea i play on Betfair mate i do the freerolls to but lost a bit of interest recently, highest i finished was 8th in one out of like 1500 so i did ok :p shame u had to win it to get anything tho! I went onto real cash play, put 20 quid on my account, got a 9-k straight went all in n some guy got a full house of the last card so i aint doing that again:p
Yeah it's always the River that messes everything up :p

I'm skint so haven't deposited anything yet but when I get paid I'm gonna put some in, I play at PKR which is quite good, you can set your own monthly deposit limits, I set mine to $25 (£13 maybe?) so I don't spend too much, I know $25 ain't much but still, I'm bad at wasting money gambling.
Freerolls are offered to attract customers. let me explain. Ive been playing poker online for a good 5 years now. Ive won some and lost some. knowing when to stop was an issue for me. So eventually in the end I lost. I started out playing demo(fake money) then I got involved in the freerolls. What I learned was that demo players and 75% of the freeroll players were below average players. After playing a couple years I thought I was good. I certainly was very good at taking my friends money at home...lol Now if your playing nickle/dime real money you won't have much to lose and the players are about average. My problem was I got overconfident and keep raising the stakes. larger wages either to make up for what I lost or I happen to be having a good day. My advice, when your having a good day and your up, leave! Take your winnings and cash out. Go play free money for a while then deposit half your winnings if you decide to play real money again. You mentioned that you were waiting to get paid to deposit $$ to play right? Well in that case I'm a ssuming you don't have much cash to lose. My advice is play nickle/dime and stick with that. The players playing high stakes are very, Very good players. Sorry I carried on but trust me man, if you get overconfident, it can lose you alot of money! Good Luck and have fun. Keep it real. Peace.

Of course, I'm not going to suddenly tell myself I'm really good because I can do well in a couple of freerolls, and enter some £100 tournys because that would obviously be silly and I'd more than likely never see that £100 again.

It's not that I don't have much cash to lose, it's that I lose far too much through gambling so that's why I'm only sticking to a low monthly amount, so I don't overdo it. Hey you never know, sticking £5 in for a tourny now and then could get me somewhere... Hopefully keep me away from playing this game :p!
