Interesting topic...but yeah.. it has been done
before..
Personally I think a good moderator is one who is
"transparent" in that they are not perceived as the fearful, trigger happy with the ban button
mod in the chat....but a fellow site member.
Long thought and consideration went into site
moderation and all of the dynamics it presents..
it's not an easy task to build from the ground up..
and thats exactly how FoD has implimented moderation
on the site.
just the building of the mod tools needed was a
huge effort...and they are far from perfect but
they do allow for changes.
I think it's un-fair to all volunteer mods to
try to have a poll on who is the most popular
As a mod I like to think that the entire team is
fair and like-minded in regards to FoD's moderation
policy.
There are tools and policy in place to attempt to
keep it consistent but some decisions are made for different reasons or interpretations.
Anyway.. just thought I would add my view to the
hip hip hooray whos the best mod topic.
