A MOM
Some people take, and some people give.
Some just exist, while some really live.
There are those we avoid and others we cling to.
There's all colours, and races and creeds.
Some stay like children, while most do mature.
Some always joking, and others demure.
Our young generation lives just as it wants to.
In actions, in words and in deeds.
There's still aging parents and young welcome newborn.
Still some respect left, and still those who draw scorn.
There still lingers good, yet evil exists too.
Caused by hatred and fears and ones greeds.
Life to some seems just lovely, to others depressing.
Some think life's hardships are desguised blessings.
All civilazation goes on as it dares to.
Few think about where it leads.
There's few who give thought to a public commotion.
And fewer who pause for there daily devotion.
Life's passing some by ' cause they haven't the time to.
Look after ther spirtual needs.
There are many examples of life's inperfections.
Of scared found guidence, or true, sound direction
And often one's lost, with no one to turn to.
While life's rocky journy proceeds.
Yet, in contrast to that, I would like to reflect
On my childhood and memories--somwhat circumspect.
For, recalling to mind the things children do
Could sure credit a mom who suceeds.
I remember my mother as parent and friend
Judicious and loving, involved with the trend
Yet guiding us on in the fashion that she knew
While she warned us of life's ill intrigues.
I remember so well her kind, knowing gaze
And, although seldom, a clammy hand raised.
And the treasures we gained from the faith that she clung to
And the nights when we nelt with our beads.
And as years progressed and our married life started
Not for a mere secondwere family ties parted.
We've treasured the years and the love we are used to
From the mother who planted our seeds.
Moms travelled life's path and shouldered her crosses
She mothered her children, and suffered lifes losses
She's given options when she's had a mind to
And rarely, if ever, conceeds
No, we don't claim she's faultless--no human could be that
She has her shortcomings ( I'm sure you can see that).
But she's mother , and wife, and always a "friend" too--
A person no ther exceeds.
She's loving, commpassionate, effectionate and giving
She's charming, good looking, and truly long-living
She's one in a million, a spry mature age
And we pray that her long life proceeds.
So here and today, we find family and friend
Who have found common interest, the need to extend
Their greetings, there love and sincere MOTHERS Day wishes to
THE DEAR AND UNIQUE OF GODS BREEDS .....
