PULEEEEZE people. It is a game. Who cares if you can move the ball past the white line (I personally have always played in real life that you CAN'T go past that white line, or mark on the table)...just go with it. It can work to YOUR advantage too ya know. ;) Play it and have FuN like I do. Maybe even make a friend or two (or two-hundred!) while you are at it. :) ~Danny~
>PULEEEEZE people. It is a game. It's only a suggestion don't bite the guy's head off because he wants the rules of a totally different game (i.e. English pool) :)
OK well taken Chris. I apologize to the poster that I was kind of rude to. :-D That's funny that when I play pool in real life those are the rules I follow: ie. you can't move the ball past that line. I didn't realize that it had a different name. I thought all pool was the same until I played on here and you could move the white anywhere on a foul or scratch. I guess you learn something every day huh? :-) ~Danny~

There's some info there on the English variation ;)
Thanks! Yeah...I guess it is just something I never knew of. :) You really DO learn something new every day! Thanks Chris! ~Danny~ [Edited by: harrydog WG on Apr 13, 2007 3:15 AM]
How come FOD have never set up the English version of pool? It would seen judicious to do so as there are so many British users. Whats the general consensus from everyone on this?
FOD often don't take into account what people want, they're a business, they want money, and they are probably scared of taking risks :p
English rules will never happen, the format/rules in place for 8-ball at the moment are probably the most recognised in the world, albeit a few glitches. British players only make up a fraction of the amount of nationalities on fod,so it would be of no advantage to fod to make this version for a small minority, besides if they did would that mean they would have to create french rules, italian, dutch, german.? I've also played in many pubs up and down the land each with their own "English rules",and more often than not rules are totally different from 1pub to the next,so how would the actual rules be determined?
