I admire the time and effort you put into getting that up and running, but how much time and effort did you put into coming up with a plan or something unique that would compel people to visit, join and participate?

Although there will be exceptions to the following statement, the number of exceptions is becoming smaller each year.  The amount of thought and work required to make a successful new website is in direct relation to the size of the internet.

True in some ways, certainly.  I had the same thought myself over a year ago during a rash of "problems" (as I perceived them) that were going on with this forum.  I spent a day or so of work on installing and creating a customized skin for a PHPBB forum for [url=

/url].  I decided not to "release it" online primarily because I didn't want to split the community into two groups and/or split the forum content into two locations.
