A few comments about game moderation

I have had a lot of players ask about TANX moderation activity lately..such as "why was my name banned?"..or.. "why was so and so's name banned?" or "can you change my rating?" or "why was a demerit awarded"?

the answer to these questions are "no comment"
game moderators are not permitted to discuss moderator activities...even with the player who was moderated..
so please don't ask...because ...speaking for myself anyway...I will ignore questions of this nature...
if a player has questions regarding moderation..contact FlyOrDie...if the staff there deem it worthy of a reply they will do so... everyone who frequents this game on a regular basis knows about the rules of use.. and a reminder link is placed in the lobby at every log-in to the terms of service of the site..
there has been an increase in nicknames that violate the nickname policy lately as well... this is also something I personally will address ....if I see a nickname that is in violation of the nickname policy it will be perm. banned and removed from the game.
regarding ratings... moderators have nothing to do with game ratings... only the site operators have access to them....so if anyone tells you "I got zeroed by the MP" it is not the truth...only the operators of the site can adjust ratings.

Well put.  However, i still feel there should be a voting system.  to keep the moderators honest.  Otherwise, some will still abuse their powers.
