I know its not my machine because...
a) I have absolutely no probs on any other sites.
b) I clear cookies / temp files etc on a regular basis.
c) I have logged on using 3 different machines and the same fault happens each time.
d) The fualt I have is exactly the same as has been described by others.
As a paid subscriber, I would like to know if FoD have any information that may help or is it something we are expected to just put up with?
I am not saying it IS your machine, because other factors like the routing servers can also cause problems (and sometimes even FoD), but...

>a) I have absolutely no probs on any other sites.
Most sites allow for dropped packets or errors. FoD is more critical with these, so the slightest problem which doesn't affect anything else may still DC you.

>b) I clear cookies / temp files etc on a regular basis.
I clear them and check for other forms of spyware every time I play FoD. Use a decent program, like Lavasoft's Ad-Aware, and make sure defs are kept up to date.

>c) I have logged on using 3 different machines and the same fault happens each time.
So? That doesn't eliminate anything.

>d) The fualt I have is exactly the same as has been described by others.
Others are having problems outside of FoD, just because they are moaning about the server it doesn't mean that it's the cause of the problem.

Let's find out more info:

How fast is your PC?
What anti-spyware are you using?
How much memory and free HD space do you have?
What other programs are running? (e.g. MSN Messenger, Limewire, Kazaa etc.)
How do you connect to the internet? (LAN, cable, ADSL, wireless? Are you sharing using a switch or hub?)
What anti-virus are you using?
What is the result of a tracert to FoD?

Thank you for your comments and appologies for the tone in my last message.
I have further investigated and to answer one of your questions... Yes, both of my kids are sharing from my connection. It seems my son has been running Morpheus in the background on his machine
(Grrrr... No more he's not)
Spybot has done its job on Morpheus and my connection now seems fine.
Thanks again for your help
No problems AKA, I'm glad you have worked it out. Most people like to believe that it's not their fault, usually because they don't understand how it could be. I find my wireless/cabled hub sometimes has a connection blip (even when the portable is turned off), but even then I curse the server, my opponent and anyone within a 10 meter radius...

Yup... I suppose we're all guilty of blowing off a bit a steam. They shouldn't build these machines to be so frustrating, lol. Theres nothing worse than when they're acting up...
Thanks again
