The longest demerit a mod can give is 1 month. The Operator can give longer ones. Quite often you do nothing and recieve them, as I found out recently comeing back from a 3 month one.

A Demerit can be of ANY length. However demerits over 1 month are rare, but do happen.

Some demerits issued have been 10 months long.
