They killed the 8-ball game.
1- Ten years ago, there were two rooms with 120 players each, plus a Brazilian room! Today, there is only one room, with a maximum of 70 players!

There is a player in the number 1 spot who avoids competing for the top rank against high-level players; instead, he maintains his point total by playing against opponents with low point counts. And whenever someone threatens his position—as the player Claudio did—the moderator, who is of German nationality, blocks Claudio from the game!

You need to be fair with the game's ranking system; if a "Ball 1" [top-ranked player] enters a lobby, they should be required to play against another "Ball 1"—otherwise, they should lose points!

Many great players—on par with or even better than the player currently holding the top spot—try to compete for the ranking, but it’s impossible; so, just stop playing 8 Ball!

The truth is, the 8 Ball ranking system is ruining the game itself. Furthermore, there’s a moderator who is complicit in maintaining the current number-one-ranked player—doing everything possible to keep them there, simply because they share the same nationality!
Claudio was punished for having multiple accounts (for which he pays a subscription)!
The player Crown also has other accounts, yet he wasn't punished! Where is the fairness in this game?
This is why most of the top players are leaving the site!

Hello,

Let me clarify the facts regarding this situation:

Thorough Investigation & Administration Action:
Not any senior moderator was the executive moderator in this case. The action taken against the account in question was not a quick or impulsive decision, nor was it based on player nationality or rank. It was the result of weeks of internal research and technical data analysis conducted directly by the site administration.

Multi-Accounting & Subscriptions:
Having multiple accounts with a subscription is allowed. However, having a paid account does not grant immunity from the rules, nor does it allow using multiple accounts to manipulate game rankings, farm points, or abuse the system.

Privacy Policy:
As a general rule, we do not discuss specific technical details, evidence, or account data of individual bans in the public forum.

Moderation on FlyOrDie is strictly impartial and based on facts. If the affected player wishes to inquire about or appeal their sanction, they can contact Support directly.

The reason why players leave (especially top old players) is that there exists a software used by few people to cheat (billard games). They get banned and recreate new accounts. And the whole drama repeats itself. Still they manage to ruin the game because players have lost trust to each other regarding who is legit and who uses this cheating program. So the vibes get more toxic and less trustworthy. A good player likes to play because he likes FAIR competition. Once this can not be guaranteed anymore, the interest of playing will reduce generally.
Thanks to a handful of players who just enjoy being a pain in the a.. to a whole community. They are the real reason for the decline of FOD. Such a great site with good quality games should have1000 + players online.

Mark the cheaters with a symbol to solve this problem.

this seems to have been caused by the change to the rating system whereby no rating is lost providing you play a game a week. shaun is simply exploiting this rule. i think it should go back to how it was before ie losing x amount per day. regards, martin

Hello everyone,

First of all, I would like to say that I understand and share many of the concerns raised by Paz. I believe there are some issues within the current ranking system that deserve more attention. For example, it can sometimes be frustrating to see players maintaining their positions by choosing games that involve very little risk. I think rankings should encourage genuine competition and give everyone a fair opportunity to challenge the players at the top.

I also agree with Modesto regarding the problems caused by cheating. Unfortunately, accusations and rumours between players have become increasingly common. I have personally experienced this several times, which is disappointing, especially when all you want is to enjoy a good game. I believe more attention should be given to creating a fair and respectful environment for everyone.

Over time, I have also changed the way I play. I no longer feel the need to be online every day or constantly chase ranking points. Some days I play more, other days less. I enjoy winning, losing and switching between the different billiard games. In fact, I find this approach much more enjoyable. Reaching the top 10 no longer seems as rewarding as it once did, particularly when competition at the highest levels sometimes feels limited and players tend to protect their positions rather than actively compete.

More generally, I feel that FlyOrDie has been going through a difficult period for quite some time. I know that moderation is not an easy job, and I appreciate the time and effort involved. However, I sometimes feel that communication between the administration and the regular players could be improved. Some decisions are difficult for players to understand, particularly when they feel that their situations have not been fully considered. Greater communication, transparency and consistency would certainly help rebuild trust within the community.

It is also worth remembering that many of the players who have gradually left the platform were among those who helped make FlyOrDie such an enjoyable and competitive place. They contributed to a strong top 20, created exciting rivalries and maintained a high standard of play. These players were an important part of the community, and I believe their presence should not be underestimated.

I also wish the developers would pay more attention to the needs and suggestions of their long-standing players. New games can certainly be a good addition, but it is equally important not to neglect the existing games and the communities that have supported the platform for years.

I am not writing this to attack anyone or to create unnecessary arguments. I simply believe that FlyOrDie still has a lot of potential, and it would be a shame to see its most dedicated players gradually lose interest.

I hope these comments will be taken in the spirit in which they are intended: as constructive criticism from someone who still cares about the game and would genuinely like to see things improve.

Thank you for reading.
