FlyOrDie should consider creating an official Discord server. Many newer players use Discord as their primary way of communicating, and it would be a great addition to the community. Since it's 2026, a large number of younger and newer players no longer use forums as much as they once did.

I've noticed that players already share their Discord usernames and community servers on the forums. I was recently part of a Discord server for The Larkinor Quest, where players explained that they created it because FlyOrDie removed the in-game chat for that game, and they needed another way to communicate and stay connected.

The forums have served the community well for more than 20 years, but adding an official Discord server could provide a modern communication platform, help strengthen the community, make it easier for new players to get involved, and improve interaction between players and staff and other topics. I'm not saying to abandon the forums completely. Discord could work alongside the forums. You could have different channels on Discord for specific topics, with links directing players to the forums when a discussion or topic needs to be posted there. Players would still be able to access the forums, create new topics, and continue using them as they normally do. This way, Discord would simply complement the forums rather than replace them.
