I’d like to ask: suppose I decide to play a 20-game backgammon tournament against a low-rated player—someone with 1,000 points or less—while I have 2,400 points. From experience, I know I don't really gain points for a win—maybe just one point, or nothing at all. My question is: does this count as a game played for the purpose of the penalty incurred after seven days of inactivity? Does it count as a game, thereby triggering an additional seven-day extension?

Hello Bery9, Yes, any rated game counts, no matter how small the point gain is. And just to clarify: It’s not a penalty. The point deduction exists to prevent players from simply sitting on their points without playing, and to give other players a fair chance to move up in the rankings as well.
