Light, inaccurate, and ineffective. Somehow in this game when you throw peel you turn into the worst curler in the world. Can make all the finesse shots though somehow!

You are right, peel weight should be faster.
Hog-to-hog time for draw in game looks like around 8 seconds (in reality it is 13-14 s. depends on ice condition). So it means the game speed is +- 60% of real.
But maximum peel weight in game is around 5,5 seconds hog-to-hog. (in reality max speed of peels is 6-7 sec.) It makes it 80 - 90%. To make it same as draw, peels should go just around 4 seconds. So heaviest takeouts should be 25-30 % faster...
