Thank you very much for answering, that sounds very exciting! Can't wait for it. I don't want to ask for too much, but a time-setting feature like in Gomoku would be nice to have as well, I don't think that would take too long to implement. But for the time being, I'm glad to hear that new things are planned!
Yes, an 8x7 board option is planned. I have a few other tasks to finish first, but it’s definitely in the queue.
I do like having a new game to challenge myself as in draughts , after playing checkers for so long its hard to adjust but worth the effort to try and learn
Just to clarify: I was referring to Connect 4 / Four in a Row — 8x7 is a board size for that game. The 10x10 version for draughts will be released soon.
There are several things being worked on at the same time, but we prefer not to announce specific features too early. They’ll be ready when they’re ready. :) We know that’s not the most exciting answer, but it’s better than making promises we may later have to change.
Hello Developer, I also enjoy the new updates all over the site. Is anything planned for the game of Four in a Row? The game has been losing many players over the years it's basically dead now. Something like adding new board sizes could really start adding new life to the game. Also programs only exist for the stardard 7x6-board, so this would guarantee fair games.

Why 8x7 - Why not 10 by 10 which is International Draughts? 10x10 international draughts is generally more popular as a serious competitive game, especially outside the English-speaking world. American/English 8x8 checkers is dominant in the U.S. and other Anglophone countries, but international draughts has broader federation-level worldwide reach.
Would be cool to hear what other updates are planned on FOD in the future. Exciting time since the site hasn't been updated in a very long time and traffic has decreased a lot compared to 15-20 years ago.
