Hi Developers, I guess that the rule that says it is not allowed to lose intentionally may be in order to avoid some people give points to others by cheating, and I agree, but some of us (many in fact) like to sometimes restart from zero, like a refresh, so I wanted to ask you if, in stead of permitting losing intentionally, you could set a button to reset points, so the user can restart from zero points without losing or giving points to anyone (I only play Memorama) Thank you!

Hi Una,

Thanks for reaching out and for your honest suggestion! We totally understand that "fresh start" feeling—sometimes you just want to clear the slate and see how fast you can climb the ladder again.

However, we’ve put a lot of thought into this, and we have decided not to implement a reset button for a few key reasons:

Fair Matchmaking: A high-skill player starting at 0 creates a tough experience for actual beginners. It gives the impression that they are playing against a fellow "starter," which can lead to a lot of frustration when they realize the skill gap is actually huge.

The "Provisional" Phase: As you’ve seen, the only way to get that "fresh start" currently is by creating a new nickname. But once you reach a certain rank, resetting those points would be a bit unsportsmanlike toward the rest of the community. Your current rating is a badge of your progress and skill—it helps ensure everyone finds opponents at the right level.

System Integrity: Our rules against intentional losing are there to keep the competitive spirit alive. Allowing a manual reset would essentially bypass the effort everyone else puts into maintaining their standing.

We know it's tempting to want that "refresh," but we believe that keeping the ratings consistent makes the games more rewarding for everyone in the long run. Thx
You are absolutely right and thanks a lot for answering (f)
