So as Larkinor Guide has been down, I learned a creative way to find the best in slot items for your new level.

When you go into a bar (I believe they all give different items), you can pay a few coins to buy a glass of wine for the bartender. Once you do, he will start giving tips.

One of the tips he will give is recipes to create weapons, shields, armor, helmets, and boots. Pull up a note pad and paste in all the outputs you receive.

After a while of doing this (and a few different bars), go to the marketplace and search those items and click the "?" button to pull up the description. You can note the level, damage, etc.

Once you have reviewed the items, you will know what is best for your level. As a bonus, you will also have the formula to create the item at the fortress/magetower from the bartender.
