Has anyone noticed if the sweeping speed matters? For instance, if I sweep continuously from start to finish, will it go further if I move my mouse faster?

Yes, if you sweep longer, the rocks will go further and straighter than if just left alone. Also if you sweep faster it should do a better job. I don't know where the "drop off" is in terms of how slow you can sweep before it doesn't do any good at all.
Yes but I tend to find that the page freezes if you do so as the server here is quite awful.
