If someone leaves a game before it has finished they should be the only ones whose rating drops (whether they are winning or losing) If you are losing and the other person leaves you shouldn't lose anything of your rating. The current system is simply not far!

wins and losses should be all that counts also flyor die should get involved in more tournments like elsewere award some of those ratings as prizes like a match players to ratings and have a monthly play off winner takes 50% of ratings. as it is now ratings have no valure for any thing except for runners one end no minds
Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't care about the flawed rating system. If you played an actual game with set ends, all that would matter is you score more points at the end of the match.....true curlers out there know that's the only thing that matters anyway.
It makes perfect sense if you're actually a curler or a curling fan. Restricting the ability to set ends to subscribers isn't fair IMO. Not being able to set them creates a lot of issues.
If you are 6-2 down with 5 ends to play and your opponent quits, you are the winner, as you are considered the winner of all remaining ends. This is only applicable if you have selected the number of ends for the match before start. If you have not done so, then "5 ends to play" does not make any sense. OP
can you please stop making new threads about this? Look - most people don't have time to play 10 ends. When I start a game, I agree with my opponent how many ends we should play (4 or 6 or whatever). The ratings change after every end, so it really doesn't matter. "Runners" are people who quit mid-end because they are going to give up 4 or 5 points. Just because someone doesn't want to spend 2 hours playing a whole game doesn't mean they are a quitter. Now complaining and start playing!
Not all players have time for 10 ends, and perhaps they dont want to play 10 ends. The rating changes after every end. So if you come to an agreement with your opponents how many ends you play that would make it fair, I guess.
There are a lot of things that should be changed... I'm still wondering when the system will change to reward blanks and penalize you for taking one with hammer. Also, the game won't load today... anyone else having this problem?
The ratings system should definitely be looked at for when people leave/ quit before the end of the games. If I am 6-2 down with 5 ends to play and the other person quits why should I lose 15 points on 16 points on my rating? I could still have won if the other person hadn't left so why should I get punished?
