Ads that boot you from your game...
I don't mind ads, really. But the ones that force my browser onto their site in the middle of a game are really getting on my nerves. It's bordering on being broken.
>But i had an ad come up the other day and it was really flashing bright and was on for about 5 or 6 mins. I just thought that was dangerous for people who suffer from fits.

To be fair to FOD (and believe me I don't make a habit out of defending them :p) they do state in their Rules Of Use:

Epilepsy Caution: If you or any member of your family has a history of epilepsy, consult a physician before using this service or any other computer game product.

and I'm sure many people who suffer from certain conditions know about how adverts can affect them when at the computer and take reasonable precautions.

As for adverts in general, if you come across an ad that is significantly affecting gameplay you should send the URL of it to FOD support so that they can deal with it (However, I'm not sure to what extent they ever 'solve' the problems fully :|)

So I got something right for once. Makes a change.

The most Annoying AD I've seen must be a 10 or 11 year old boy waving and jumping up and down holding a card for something [But I can't remember what it was for]

I just found that too in my face for my liking.
Don't worry I understood what you were saying in the first reply :p

I might just say I found an error,
just to annoy you....
 :D

And back on-topic. I found it odd yesterday seeing an advert that promoted a
different
 online snooker website, bizarre.
I am not doing very well.

2nd ERROR- IF I NEED A RULE BOOK GUIDE.

SORRY.

Note - THIS MIGHT BE LAST EVER POST. MAYBE?

I read this 10 times to make sure there's no more mistakes.

OK. PS- Don't you dare say you found an error on page.
NOTE - ERROR - SHOULD SAY -

I know who to find and when and if I need A BOOK read guide.

I put those 2 round the wrong way. What a dope.

Thanks Chris.
RE- CHRIS- So your full of useless knowledge.

Message received.

I know who to find when and if I need rule a book guide.

HA.

>I be honest i've never read the term of rules.OOPS.

I can't really blame you :p Being on these forums for almost 4 years has given me a thorough knowledge of useless FOD trivia, recalling the rules/terms and conditons being one of these things that I've learnt over the years :|
RE- CHRIS- Oh Sorry about that.

It's good that there are safety warning about this.

I be honest i've never read the term of rules.OOPS.
RE - Gino 78 - I know what you mean now, I had that when i've been on other websites but never on here.

To clarify, I'm speaking about the ads that takes your actual game window to their site and ends your game in the middle of it.
OK OK, so you don't mind the ads.

I think people misread the comment you made.

But i had an ad come up the other day and it was really flashing bright and was on for about 5 or 6 mins.

I just thought that was dangerous for people who suffer from fits.
I said I don't mind ads... but ads that hinder your ability to play the game will eventually make me not play the game in the first place.
RE - MJ MOOSE - THAT'S TRUE I GUESS.
ADDS PAY FOR YOUR PLAYING DON,T FORGET ITS FREE NOT MANY THINGS LIKE THIS IS FREE NOW A DAYS i SAVE 150.00 FROM A FLY OR DIE ADD
turn off pop blocker but you wont be able to look at players stats then
I know what you mean.

I was playing the memory game and a big flashing sign come up saying i won a prize or something and it cost me the game.

That really hacked me off that did!!!
Easiest solution is obviously to subscribe, and have no ads what so ever. Or else you can copy paste the url of the ad at hand and write to flyordie support.
