Connect4 Highest Ratings (Prog Or Without Prog)
who has the highest rating in connect4 i read in deadly silences info its couer en or with 970 and couer has had 970 points but i just wanted to know if its highest

for more information call 1800-555-reiger or u can visit our website www.trevorsportswear.com and wether ur a size 10 or 15 its okay
coeur en or kinda pointbanked her/his way up to 970, so you can't really count her/him in. I think Jerome with his nick Cosmos once had a very high score, somewhere in 900 I think...
jerome 982- pointbanked
cour - 970 "kinda" point banked no he did point bank i got him banned.
Me- 956 i point banked in room 2 for about 1 month and got permed on a non subed name i have one screen shot.

so i dont program jerome dont program since cour pbed he didint program
The highest I know of without point banking/cheating was Celestial Knight, he had about 865 or so
I Got 2 868 Undefeated Without Programming With My Name Throne A Few Years Ago But Then It Got Banned For Ban Evasion.
with out banking i duno but iv gotten 842 with out banking once and i know speed lvl or w.e. was pretty high i never knew him though. and flames aka unforgivable has been 906 with out banking. deja vu got banned for ban evasion when his brother got banned witch i find funny :)

the one and only,
D-dog
I had 814 without banking cause I really got lucky of getting red back than a lot!!!
... :D my best score : ... 643 ... without point banking ...
Mike: So when u start with red, u dont give rematch? Thats pathetic.. But if thats not the case, then I take back this remark.
I think the maximum a good fair player can get without pointbanking and only playing equally players must be between 550 and 600.

At a certain point, when you have a high rating and you play equally good players yet with a lower rating, then you can only lose points, even if you keep up with these players

True.
I've never treated four in a row very seriously, but I managed to score 510-520 one day. And mr. Nameless is right, beginning with your score around 500 there is no way to increase it without cheating.
Lower-rated players will take away points from you in 2-4-6 or more game matches.
Higher-rated players will play you with red balls, and escape without a word, taking your *precious* points with them.
And playing fair, high-rated players will end up in a draw matches (mostly) which leads to score change for about 2-3.

PS. And say hi to Garfield - trully good player.
I don't agreed wit u guys evryone is good who is unbeateble wit red(fair players) like me ;)
Speaking from experience, it's definately not impossible to achieve a really high rating without cheating. All you need to do to is watch out for good players and play against noobs with decent ratings. I bet I could get 1000 points without cheating.
I'm sure you can x_eliten_x. Every decent player can.
But it's just no fun...
Otherwise, I don't see the point of playing unskilled players. (contrary to some players, who are always on top of the list)
There are plenty of things to learn from playing noobs. i.e., If you're ever going to gamble irl you'll need to know how to perfectly break noob starts. Besides, it's fun to know a broad variety of starts, not only the "correct" ones. I can beat almost every good player with noob starts because they have never bothered to study the game more thoroughly.

I think it's quite boring to play those good players who're playing the same starts over and over, they are too predictable. I'd rather just practice with a program.
Totaly agree eliten.. Players who safe the starts and never play different styles is not a true gm in my opinion. Every noob can learn perfect play with red. When ure a good antiplayer, then first ura good player. And THEN on top manage many red openings, then ur gm..

Im not good with red openings, play the same to much, so im not good, but im learning :P
But btw, there must be at least 20 players whos 100% against every wrong start there is.. isnt it?
You would be surprised to see how much red openings I still remember (I rarely play standard, 7x6 four in a row these days, cause I find it boring). But it doesn't make me a grand master. And, what's more, knowing red openings won't help you reach top score here. (That's the topic, isn't it?)

BTW is this that god-like Eliten that o_O_loil is worshipping?
ok a littlebit of topic, but high score on fod does not equal quality in play..

think of the knowledge of c4 elit, loil and probably you to have over so many perfect redplayers..

If the game just was about winning with red in the easiest way, i would have quit it a long time ago..

OK, but remember you've spoken highly about him, when we played on beroux.
That's correct, and he is definately the best player I know.
ok now i'm getting curious, who are relfson and mordino, and when does anyone ever go on beroux! Infiltrating our superior team? Mind your own business team devilplay :p

and no, there aren't 20 people who can beat all noob starts, there's like 5 at most. Cuz people only care to learn just enough to win, they don't go the extra mile like true connect 4 warriors :p
relfson is relfson, and mordino is teachme2play aka shockwave, if I'm guessing right.
Mordino is indeed _shockwave_ and relfson is...just a very nice guy who is learning a lot and fast :)

Hi Phil :)
by the way, Mordino is nice guy as well :)
Im a norwegian who actually have played this game for a few yers now but had a year of and just started again in april i think..

Im not a fod-fan, but the forum is cool, so ive started play here a couple of days ago, but been registred for a year or something..

> by the way, Mordino is nice guy as well

You didn't say that beacuse of yesterday's 8-0, did you? :)
Not at all Mordino, I know you already from way back on kurnik, and I thought you were already a nice guy back then :)
shockwave! hi it's me zugswang from Beroux! glad to see you again :D
yeah i'm agree with you , it could't be fun if you play against person who you know always win, sometimes it needs to lost again, a good opponent
Too bad you're not visiting us anymore, Frank (or Zug/div/entr0py/ anything else :) )
no, too bad ur not visiting Kurnik anymore lol.

But do you still play at beroux?
Even now I'm at beroux - but nobody's gonna talk me into playing 7x6 :)

I'm visiting kurnik from time to time, maybe I'll visit it today, so the tournament will be much better with my humble person in it.
