They do pay money for u to actually have a decent game to play for free, and theres nothing much wrong with the web version anyway (apart from lagging;\). The PC game is like a reward for those who sub.

The ad companies pay for you to play. There are no ads in the download, so you can't use it unless you sub.

i c, thx guys. thing is its unfair that the pc version is easier than the web browser version. it should be the same difficulty for everyone. or at least make the table n graphics the same. the pockets look bigger on th pc version

The tables and balls are the same, and some subscribers even prefer the web version of the game. The game is the same for subs as it is for non-subs, with the exception of the ads which often cause lags.

 beppe when u subbed screen is also central which makes a big diffrence to most being subbed is a totall diffrent expirience for the game and its cheap. its funny to see so many unsubbed players

seems as though  you are wrong in your statement - only subs can play  on download game, i just checked out of the  1's not in a game in room 1  there was only 5 players  subscribed  only 5  -  30 more were just  browser users--- go check.  anyway  i am having the same trouble  not being able to use  the download game -  and i have been using  FOD  since aug 03--  dont really know why i havent subbed yet but that not what i saying at this time :(

Um, if you READ the above people say that only subs can play the downloaded version.
