SUPERBOWL XL PICKS
SUPERBOWL XL PICKS
SUPERBOWL XL PICKS
Ah, yes, its that time of year - the tickets cost extra, home viewers are running out of chili, and the 2 best teams from the 2005-2006 season are playing to determine the grand champ.
Go ahead and post your picks and a few reason why you feel your team is going to have the difference maker.
My pick, of course, is the Pittsburgh Steelers, I just can't go against The Bus.

Reasons: Its Jerome Bettis playin what is in all likelihood his last game - ever. He's big, he's bad, and hes playing in Detroit, his hometown.

Big Ben - a great young quarterback with the skill it takes to carry this explosive Steeler offense.

Fate. Its conspiring against the Seahawks. Its The Bus, hometown, SUPERBOWL XL (extra large, much like bettis himself), Jerome's number is 36, the game is being played on the 36th day of the year. The planets are aligning, on the grand stage, and these guys are gonna slug it out.

Go Steelers!

Well I guess this is a bump because it was knocked back 3 pages by the spamguy.
steelers 34-seahawks 31

reason- pittsburghs a better team over all, seahawks only got 1 good player take him out its over, the bus who can stop i 250+ lb guy running full steam?
LOL 250? Like the guys at ESPN said: 250 aint foolin nobody, hes an M&M away from 300.
oh yea pittsburgh also got the best saftey and linebackers in the nfl today ;)
* one of the best
*cough darren sharper*
hmm where did darren sharper go....? no dont look like hes on the packers, dont hear about him on espn all the time.
Hrm.. yeah your right.. except for the week he had 3 INTs in one game and Troy Polamalu didn't. :D
when was the last time sharper went through 3 lineman and make a great tackle?;)
Thats not darrens style... ;\ Sure if he wanted to he could, but its more important to be makin INT's. Why push back an offense when you can just destroy an entire drive?
Seahawks! 28 to 10.

They're a stronger team. Steelers are
6th
 seed! :)
M&M? you talk about me again Raven?
lol no M. When not in larky an M&M is known as a bite-sized candy. thats just a scale to show how close the bus is to 300 lbs.
all i can say is this is gonna be a TIGHT game!!! I predict seatle by a field goal it ot!!!
>>>They're a stronger team. Steelers are 6th seed!

just because we are a 6th seed dont mean there better, the seahawks are in the NFC which does NOT have very many good team. steelers on the other hand are in the AFC, which is full of great teams that are much harder to beat ;) it will be close tho
Yeah for awhile now the AFC has had the best teams. AFC 6th seed may be a good match for a top NFC seed.
I was a child of the 70's, bradshaw, harris, Dallas, and wat not but my whole family is from PA so do you need to wonder who I am watching?
>>AFC 6th seed may be a good match for a top NFC seed.

good match? on second thought steelers should take this victory easly, dont belive me? take a look at both there schedules :p which had an easyer one? if the steelers were in the NFC the would be undefeated every year, that goes for all 6 teams that were in the playoffs this year for the AFC. in the NFC you can be 8-8 and make it to the playoffs. in the AFC you can be 10-6 and not make it.point is AFC is all around just a better confrence now and i dont think NFC got a chance to win.

well thats my 2 cents :)
Well as a huge football fan, I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised that my Steelers have made it this far. One more game - can't wait. Needless to say - you will not find me in the land of Lark on Sunday. Since Braves and I are both from 'the Burg', you know what side of the fence we fall on in this debate. Gonna be a good game.

Slim - any chace Major Headache could pay Hasselbeck a little visit? ;)

Go Steelers!

My team may be out of it, but I live with a guy born across the river from Three Rivers.....just guess who I think will win.

Our Terrible Towel (the original) will be waving, the jerseys will be on, and I doubt the 2 yr-old will be able to sleep until the Steelers have their trophy at the end of the night.
