Highlight the text, right click and select cut, reply, right click and select paste. Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V work as well. Then either use the > symbol before it to make it a different colour, or else use 

bold

, 

italics

, 

underline

 or 

all three

 to make it stand out.

You dont have to click the "quote original button".

Click on reply to the part you want to quote, and it does the above when you select "quote original".
