Satisfied Anth, Beppe, Suit?
Why would any of us get satisfaction from you naming something correctly? The real question is, are YOU satisfied that you got it right?
Rain, in your determination in trying to prove an idiotic point, you actually forgot to mention what this thread has regards too.

Suit.
well well well, soccer fans ptin up a american football topic. how ironic.
oh rain never mind u put it up sry. nice going tho. i seriously think that we need to play sum tanx or 8ball sumtime.
No for u americans football is played with the foot u call your game football when its played with the hand ha ha your stupid
u kno wat. how is soccer violent, honestly. besides some guys kickin a ball. sure it may slam u in ur face but ull get over it. american football players break necks, legs, arms, and even the rib bones. the padding is not helpful all the time. so leave the yanks alone and well leave u alone.
erm football erm u watched ne of the horrific challenges made n some of the injurys ie luc nillis aston villa snapped leg twisted around gary busst snaped leg players needed counsellin after seein it i apologise for this outburst but b4 u start callin soccer not violent u shud try watchin a few challenges i wud say more ppl ave died due to football injurys thn in american football n we r so violent lol u nevca c us england gettin almost booted out of world cup bcoz of fan behaviour n shud try downloadin football factory r even buy it tht will show u how violent football is n jus think tht is only a film
>i wud say more ppl ave died due to football injurys thn in american football

What are you talking about? Can you name me one American football player or one football player who has died due to game related injuries? There is a link between brain damage and the old football game when the ball was heavier, but a direct link to death?
>well well well, soccer fans ptin up a american football topic. how ironic.

This topic was not about American football, it was about Rain trying to be clever.
yup i can in a game between 2 i think corinthians n palmeiras if my mind serves me correctly a player got punched on the pitch which resulted in him faintin n dying tyvm n it also happened 2 an italin footballer aswell n he was actually born in blackburn :D so there is 2 deaths :D
does it feel horrible gettin proven wrong :D
When did "Punching" become a football injury?

People have died of heart problems and strokes in both games, but not from a direct sports related injury that I have heard about. Before you start ranting about proving me wrong, I never said it hasn't happened - I just asked you to name me an example. Just because I haven't heard about it, it doesn't make me right. HOWEVER... you did say "football injury" and not "boxing injury", so feel free to try and correct me again.
ne injury occured on the football pitch in my opinion is a football injury if it was a boxing injury wud b in a ring it also occured between 2 football players which is also a football injury :p god!! jus a simple explanation n u make t so difficult to explain :| typical
Yeah, typical, but no one died from an ACL injury or a groin strain ;)
Beppe,

I see we have our own line of supply and demand.

LOS ANGELES -- Former NFL defensive lineman Al Lucas died Sunday from a presumed spinal cord injury sustained while trying to make a tackle for the Los Angeles Avengers during an Arena Football League
 (Indoor American Football)
game, the team said.

Al Lucas played two seasons for the NFL's Carolina Panthers before moving to the Arena League. Lucas was pronounced dead at California Hospital after attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, team physician Dr. Luga Podesta said in a statement. An autopsy was planned for Monday or Tuesday, the county coroner's office said.

A call to a California Hospital spokesman was not returned.

"It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Al Lucas. At this time, the thoughts and prayers of the entire Avenger organization are with his wife and family," team owner and chief executive officer Casey Wasserman said in a statement.

The 26-year-old Lucas was injured during a first-quarter kickoff return against the New York Dragons.

Television replays showed Lucas bending down to make a tackle. The Dragons' ball carrier and a blocker tumbled over his head and back, with the blocker's leg appearing to hit Lucas in the head. Lucas did not move after falling to the ground.

"There's nothing you can say about what happened," Avengers lineman Sean McNamara was quoted as telling the Los Angeles Daily News. "It never entered our minds as a possibility. You think about his family and his daughter and hope they'll be all right."

"When you've got a player lying on the ground the only thing that goes through your mind is that it could be any of us out there," fullback Lonnie Ford told the Daily News.

The 6-foot-1, 300-pound lineman played two seasons (2000-01) for the Carolina Panthers, recording 49½ tackles in 20 games. He attended Troy State from 1996-99 and won the Buck Buchanan Award his senior season as the top defensive player in Division I-AA. In 43 games at Troy State he had 255 tackles and 11½ sacks.

He was selected to the Arena League's All-Rookie team in 2003 while playing for Tampa Bay.

"Al Lucas played arena football with passion and integrity. The entire AFL family extends its deepest sympathies to Al's wife and family as well as his friends, family and teammates," commissioner David Baker said in a statement.

Lucas, of Macon, Ga., was married to De'Shonda Lucas and had a daughter, Mariah.

During the Arena League offseason, Lucas worked as an assistant coach at Macon's Northeast High School, from which he graduated in 1996.
