Chess Informant Chess
New chess variant published: Chess Informant Chess

"Chess Informant Chess" is different from the classic chess in one detail only. Namely, white pawn that reaches the 7th line can remain PAWN, but it can be promoted into one of the following pieces: ROOK, BISHOP or KNIGHT. The same is valid for a black pawn that reaches the 2nd line.

Please share your comments here.

Thanks,

OP
So it can only choose from those three possibilities? Can it be promoted to queen?
it cannot be promoted to queen in the 7. row
THIS WAS POSTED 3 YEARS AGO AND THIS GUY ONLY WRITE OK :@
AND THIS GUY WAIT 2 YEARS TO KNOW THAT???
actually I am amused , a wizard that cant count 2 4

options, can remain
PAWN
, pieces:
ROOK
,
BISHOP KNIGHT
.

all caps not good enough eh wizzy how about bold as well.

This chess variant has separate statistics, toplist from now. Just like Blitz.

Thx,

OP
Can you put into this site a new chess variant?
It is called Chess 960 or Fischer chess ( random chess).
I think that a lot of players would like to play it and would be fantastic.
THX for youre time!!!
wow what a difference you've made OP i have never seen over about fifteen players at informant chess, today i see 114 players inforant room #1 WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant believe it but maybe there will be a informant room two soon !
also I forgot to express my opion, that now people have a ten minute room !
so it is much more than just informant variation....
in all reality the variation affects few games played !

however, if you are like me at all, and tend to forget :D you will be reminded all about the variation in a very rude way ]:) such as "rook = CHECK"

thanks OP !
Yeah I always liked Informant Chess. Our school actually came up with a different name but played it the same way. It offers a lot more strategy for people in the end game.
