Hi, I don't know if anyone has ever suggested this. I don't even know if it is a good idea. It is just a thought. I repeatedly see the same people getting demerits here at FOD. After they get their demerit and their few days of mute punishment is over, wham, they are right back to the negative behavior. And quicker then you can say the word quicker, they have another demerit. Same people, most of the time. Maybe their can be a harsher punishment for such stupid and idiotic behavior that is displayed here oh so often. Maybe, a point deduction of some sort. If you get a demerit you lose a certain number of points...maybe 50 pts lost for acting like monkeys gone wild. Maybe even more. Maybe this will stop people from being repeat offenders, since so many care about their points, they won't want to lose them. I guess my bottom line is banning does not do anything, they come back...unless you can figure out how to block IP addresses from entering the site itself. I am not techy so I have 0 clue if this can be achieved. And demerits, well they are pointless too to an extent, because the punished to learn their little lessons. And I guess to be frank, the idea of point reduction for nasty behavior, won't work either...since nothing here ever does. But anyway, just an idea to throw out their. Might as well try something new since the ol' doesnt seem to do the trick. Thanks for listening.

The point idea wouldn't work sorry. There are games on FOD that that wouldn't apply to. My own rule is usually to increase the time on a demerit or then make it a temp ban, with increasing "time out". Lady Die
What if the person had 0 points, then how are you going to deduct 50 points each time?
I agree with LadyDie here - each punishment should be a mandatory increase on the previous one.
Hi Ladydie. I never considered the other games here at FOD. I thought they were all point related. I only play billiards and snooker, so I was unaware of the games that are not point related. Samanthasparky howdyho neighbor. I was thinking a minus points for different ranks. Say you have 700 points - then 100 points can be deducted. If you have 400 points - 50 points. If you happen to be at 0 points then you can drop into the negative range and work even harder to get your rating back up or create a new name because the person is a numbskull idiot. Anyway the point deduction was just examples. Beppe hiya. I agree with that too actually. Punishments should be made longer for each FOD crime committed. Lock em up and throw away the key. Weeeeee. I just can't stand seeing the same people over and over getting in trouble day in and day out. So, I guess the blocking of IP addresses from website is impossible to do? Hara. Are you serious? Websites can actually block IPs? Well, that would solve some of the issues right there. Except for the people that know how to change their IP address or those that I guess have dial up and circulate through different IPs? But heck ya. Block some of these people from even stepping foot to the registration portion since they already mucked it up once. Blah.
No... You get a new Internet Protocol Address. Your old IP doesnt turn into a different one, so there is no way of linking your new IP to your old one. Suit.
I could'nt agree more :) Perm demerits would be something at least. It is a shame that the same people come back just to cause trouble for others. I have had dealings with a certain individual over and over again as have many others. The mute button is a wonderful tool yet when the person creates new names it is very hard to keep up. Ive had my fair share of demerits in my life...more then i wanted,and have had one temp ban for 3 days.But when i had them,ive noticed that it depened on what i did.The 3 day ban was followed by a 2 week demerit.But that was for something im not going to go into.My others were for being a noob and not knowing the rules.Such as vulgar language(i think i spelled it right)and mis behaving,being inappropate,and disrespecting others. Now about my saying on the punishment depended on what i did bit. When i had my ban i wasnt being a noob,i was ...lets say defending a friend and getting short.A argument broke out that night and i got into it.Thats all im saying. My other demerits were for being a noob and being stupid and so on....But since then i have kept my temper under control and have made or joined a different room to avoid it.I dont want to be in the same position as i was last time.May not be smart but im not stupid ether. So that what i have to back up on me saying it depends on what you did.If it was like having a drivers licenes, i would have been kicked out of the game.

What kind of behaviour do you have to commit to get a demerit. ?? Because i have got one, and i do not remember misbehaving in any game at all. i do not use foul language on the games i do not cheat. So what is there left.
1 The Behaviour rules are posted at the same page that brings you to Forum,and the games, so a little clickin around, and you can find them. 2 We got a guy now,that posts here sometimes, Bepste-Beast, or something, hes got his latest Demerit for 7000 hours...If this is true, and its Probly not, but if so,It makes me wonder about FOD's commitment to "clean" fun. I'd say if you warrent a 7000 hour punishment, and 5 minutes into your new lg yer Being booted for being a loser, then its time for the ol Heave-Ho. And with some of these guys, try to remember... Most are lonely kids,for whatever reason... Compassion may not work here, but whats it hurt,too? Peace Alls.
ye beasiad has got a 7000 hour demerit but also he has a 8 month sub so they cudnt ban nnor block his ip bcos hes a paying customer
