Hay all. I cant believe the "Mute guests" button is still in place. I have an idea which i think would save alot of time while sending SS's. I thought that a better button would be one that you could press when somone is swearing. This button would be in place of the Mute guest button and when pressed it would take a screen shot, within the flyordie window. Then a download box would appear, the download would be the screen shot already saved in JPEG and ready to send. So what do you think? I know there has been alot of other ideas but this is just another :)

YEAH, REAL, thats very good idea. cuz my head is getting crazy cuz of most of the unsubbed ppl. I hate it to read every minute: Any girls wanna play and chat press 12345 or wotever. And wiv such a button more ppl wud be demerited. Anbd our rooks wud be cleaner. Very good IDEA;);)

From what I have been told the moderation team already gets too much junk sent in to them. It is to often the case that an SS is used because the sender just wants to get the person in trouble. There are too many people who think that losing is enough of a reason to hate someone. I have seen people wind others up then report their reactions... I have seen people capture text saying B03 then which they have sent in as
proof
of unsportmanlike behaviour (go figure)... I have even seen people take an SS of a guest in a room and claimed harrassment. You want to make it easier for these people to wind up the mods even more? Sorry, I don't agree. The FoD complaints procedure is easy enough as it is, and doesn't directly help the moaners, haters and bad losers to have a go at others. I think a better idea would be for the mods to educate people how to use the current system for the right reasons and more effectively.
why cant the moderators just read everything that goes on in the games or in the lobbys and then find out what goes on then. if some one winds someone else up you can demrit or give a tempory ban or some thing. thats a better idea?? keeps them even busier???

I like the mute button. It works great, I don't have to listen to petty people cry and whine that way. But a SS button. I still have to listen to them cry, whine, curse, cheat, etc. No thanks. SS is only a temp. solution. Then people are going to moan even more, because they will think that the SS didn't go through or the mods are ignorning then, when in actuality they will be overloaded and it will take forever to ban or demerit the people that are causing the problems. Mute button should stay and be used. Stop listening to the babies and immature people. Mute them.
The simplest and easiest way to deal with screenshots is to get yourself a copy of screenhunter. It can take the ss for you with one keypress, save it in the required format, and even auto-email it for you too. On top of that, its FREE!!
Thing is Veriac, a lot of players cannot be bothered to take this effort to take a screenshot, and so don't. If there was a button to, say, print last 10 lines of text and then this is automatically sent in an email to wherever (not sure, mod stuff lol), I'm sure swearing would go right down. Or a better swearing filter.

Killer Kebab...I did read some of the posts. And the first post of the person that actually created the topic to begin with stated "I cant believe the "Mute guests" button is still in place." I am only to assume from this statement that The.Real was suggesting getting rid of it and to place an SS button. I am sorry if you felt that I have misread a post. Whoopdeedoo. If he said it should take the place of the mute button, then this reference is made to suggest that the mute button would be inexistent...he did not say otherwise and speculations can be made from the post in what he intended...so you are wrong now....until the The.Real says otherwise.
Kille Kebab, Someone has been very nice to inform me of my mistake. And because I am a mature individual I am the type of person that certainly does not mind... admitting when I am wrong. Because I am self-confident in who I am and what I stand for, this makes me more of the type to say... I am sorry. I am new and my friend pointed out to me that there is a mute guest button. I did not know this. I thought there was only one mute button...the do not enter sign. It turns out from further research and beign a newbie that there is acutually a seperate button for guests. And that is odd, because guests cannot type anyway...right? I am not sure about that either. Anyway I am sorry killer Kebab...I did not know there were two different mute buttons. Please forgive me for my stupid mistake. You are the right one here. I hate being new and not knowing the ins and outs. But now I know there are two mute buttons...that's silly to have two.

No problem Doozer. I probably shouldn't have been so sharp with my response either, so reacting in that way was perfectly natural. 2 mute buttons are stupid, yeah. And Beppe, what would be the problem with people sending it for the sake of it? Surely this would catch more of the culprits?

Nothing if it was used properly. However, judging by the mentality of
some
of the people here, I believe it would be misused. Either people are going to misunderstand when to use it or else people are going to report people they don't like for no good reason. I doubt the mods would be able to keep up with the increased "traffic". What's wrong with the current system where people can put the effort into sending SS in by email?
i think this cud get out of hand coz every1 swears every now n again like when they miss n easy shot n ppl who dont like the opponent cud jus send in for fun jus to get them banned n wen u subbed n gettin banned it jus a waste of money i think lol
