the speed should be a litle faster on snooker
i think it would be nicer if the speed of the balls were a little faster, and the table player a little looser..at the moment ithink u have to hit the bals way 2 hard.and u need to utch bakspin
I personally think that the timer is adequate, as some people are doing other things on there computer as well as playing a few games in 8 ball!
I really think flyordie should have a clock in the corner though, not the annoying tick tock at the end!
Are you serious? I think the ball speed is actually quite high, it's very possible to do soft shots, but if you hit the balls hard they seem to never end, especially when you get that "ping pong" effect where the ball just goes from 1 side to the other for about 30 seconds.

As for the back spin, well you can change the amount you do by aiming further down or up below the centre of the cue ball so you just have to practice to get it right.

Not sure where the timer comes into it Cowen (i can't see it mentioned int he original post) but i agree a clock would be a fair idea, but i don't see many people using up most of their time if they are on the ball, knowing you have for example 12 seconds left may mean people think "oh it's ok i can delay the game for another 8 seconds and then shoot".

I you are playing properly and taking notice of the game you should be able to play the shot within the time limit anyway without a clock.
Dno About You But I Nearly Always Play PS2 While Playing Snooker Light Because Of How Long It Is. The Ticking At The End Does Help But Then You Only Have 10 Seconds To Shoot.
So A Timer Would Be Great. Its Not Impossible Since Theyve Got It On Chess And Stuff

I thought he was on about time lol, anyway i generally think all the phsyics and ball movement are spot on.
Apart from the fact that you can't swerve your shot unless it hits the rail with left or right side spin.
This is a good game, and people need to suggest ideas that are more realisticly going to happen rather than the far fetches ones that i've heard, like 8 ball in psp lol, which is a good idea, just i don't think this site has entered the next generation era yet.
Also Chris i don't need a clock i ain't thick, i can roughly judge a minute using my brain, i just think the tick tock is as old as this game is and a clock would be better because some perfectionists like myself really like to get the position down to a T, so i would find a clock very useful, i wouldn't expect a newbie like yourself to appreciate my suggestion, maybe in 4 years or so then yeah you might.
What you on about, the ticking sounds has only just been added...
"i wouldn't expect a newbie like yourself to appreciate my suggestion"

I guess your opinion is the only one that counts then? So much for a forum being a place to exchange views.
Ok Chris, i'm not disagreeing with you there.
You are entitled to your own opinion and you contribute very well to this forum, there is no qualms here.
So enjoy yourself.
lol the moment a clock is introduced to this game the longer people be taking over their shots. and as for u get 10 seconds to take shot when ticking sounds.. Try 5
Has anyone at all noticed that this topic is infact a whole year old:p?
well as u can see some clone unburried it while he was spamming the forum..:p
And also i havn't seen this subject brought up in my time on FOD so there's no harm for any newer players in having a say on the issue.
