There's a problem in Flyordie's server which is really annoying. I get disconnected a lot and I mean A LOT when playing and chatting with someone in an 8-ball game because I pressed the "backspace" button to retype something. I don't care about the ratings, but I do care about losing a goodhearted conversation because of this "backspace" problem. Now I heard somewhere that it's due to the advertisements and popups. And that when the backspace button is pressed it tells the program to go back to the previous page. But in all honesty, who can remember this all the time while being so focused on the ingame conversation as well as the game itself? Flyordie, please fix this problem because a lot of people [and the numbers are growing] are very displeased. Now don't take this as an insult to your service and site because it is in no way intended to be as one. Instead, look at this as it really is - constructive criticism. Thank you.

this happens to me too but flyordie needs to also fix the thing with me getting to the room i want to then it just freezes
The answer would be to have "static" ad's that don't refresh but can be different at each login to keep the figures (for the advertising company) up. So the ad's wouldn't need to refresh and make that the active frame. _________ Regards, [img=

Whilst it would be nice if FoD discovered the solution to this problem, it's somethihg that people have to be aware of. You now know that it happens, so just be more careful when you are deleting characters from the text window. There's another solution which avoids blaming the people who combine to provide you with a free game - subscribe and get rid of the ads altogether. Jamez, static ads are not the solution. Refreshed ads mean more "hits". It's better for the advert companies, as the changes are more likely to attract your attention (ever found yourself staring at a fruit machine in a bar just because it has flashing lights?). It's better for FoD because the frequency may add to their revenue. More revenue means it's better for us because we retain the ability to play for free. If nothing else, would you be happy to have the intrusive Verizon ads as a static throughout an entire game? You'd have to quit anyway.
even with ads disabled it still does that hit backspace 3 times and the whole reloading process starts over -- or if you hold it -- only because the cursor disappears from the text .. best solution to my knowledge is to subscribe :)

One solution i have found is that if you realize the "backspace" problem is happening, all you have to do is to hurry up and hit the STOP button at te top by the proper back button. This has worked for me everytime. I just hit it over and over until i see that it worked. Happy Gaming.
I don't think that's a joke. Pressing stop doesn't affect the Java window, it just stops the page from loading. If you catch it before it terminates the game connection, then you may get away with it.
I agree with you. I have had this problem thousends of times. I think Flyordie should fix this problem ASAP.
yup mozilla firefox is good...but when i try to play on it it starts to freeze:p but i know how to get no adverts without being a sub anyway:p not that i use it i like to support the flyordie community by being a sub while we are at it...its good value! lolol
