First thing you have to do is get a online host for your images. I use 

http://www.Photobucket.com

 for mine. 
Its free and you can upload images to post online.

Once you have the images on your host site use the Url addy for the image to put it in the forum along with [ img= the Url then ] so it will look like this but with no spaces.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/M.A.S.H.4077/001-mash.jpg

 ].
And it will come out like this

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/M.A.S.H.4077/001-mash.jpg

]

PS: I have found that if the file name to the image you upload is to long it will not work right here. (the file name to this image is 001-mash.jpg)

One way to make your image smaller is upload it to Photobucket and click the edit tab over the image.
Scroll down the page and you will see resize picture. 
Just click one of the settings (75%,50%,25%) and it will make it smaller for you.
