Only problem is some people play in both upa2 and realpool..
And each league would want it to be in theuir prefered game.(IE Snooker for realpool and pool for upa2)

It wouldnt matter about what league you are in...its what league you want to represent...the format would be set in stone so no options but to play that way....You would simply declare an interest...I will log the matches and set a site on MSN Groups with news of the tourney and will keep u all informed...I must stress, this would be run on honesty and integrity to make it a success...I wouldnt play in the interests of fairness

How about using the Admins or Head TD's from each league? Or maybe each of the leagues can hold qualifiers for entry into this Champions League? It would be nice to see some of the lesser known, but equally as fanatical league members reprisenting their teams. 

I know that a lot of the so called 'top' players are members of multiple leagues, and it would be a shame to see the same old faces challenging for the title. Ask around your leagues, and see if you can find a core group of players than would be proud to reprisent their league. 

I think some of you have missed the point. This would be a TEAM tourney between different leagues and not an individual event.  This is how I plan to make it work:-

Each league would have 8 players (more if there is enough interest)

Matches would be best of 3

1 frame of snooker
best of 3 in 8 ball
best of 5 in 9 ball

I would e-mail the two players concerned to notify them of their match.  Both players would then e-mail me the score with optional report within an agreed timescale* which I would then post on the site (yet to be created)

I will set up various contact groups (1 for each league and 1 for all) and keep everyone bang up to date with going on)

Needless to say...a no-show equals loss

At this stage its too early to say what format this tourney will be in but hopefully you will contact me asap to firstly, declare an interest and also any suggestions to get this off the ground.

*Timescales*

I would suggest a 48 hr timescale for matches to be played after I notify both players.  I understand that this is a global game however, and again I am open to suggestions.

By trying to do this, I am in no way trying to undermine the authority of TD's and admins from all leagues who are all doing a great job.  This will be an unofficial tourney so there will be no need for officialdom (TDs, Admin, Moderator)

I understand that some of you will be sceptical about this but, as I said earlier, this will run on honesty and maturity so pranksters need not apply.

Im not in any champs league team even though I asked to be in realpool.  I'm 3rd in the Realpool ladder and 4th in UPA2 which makes me think WTF!!!

But anyway guys all the best with the tourneys! :)
