extra extra... A journey of almost seven years and more than two billion miles will end on the evening of June 30, when the Cassini spacecraft enters orbit around Saturn. The craft will begin a four-year exploration of Saturn, its rings and moons, and the space environment around the planet. Cassini consists of an orbiter, plus a probe that will drop into the atmosphere of Titan, Saturn's largest moon. Combined, the craft tower more than two stories high, and they weighed six tons at launch. They carry 18 scientific instruments.
