There are different types of metal u silly n00b! You've got nu-metal, alt-metal, thrash-metal, death-metal, so and on!!! all different strengths, some heavy, some not so heavy, if u ever heard Metallica, they are nowhere near as heavy as some bands out there.  Even I hate REALLY heavy screaming type, but Metallica is the perfect balance for me! :-)
