Was just playing a 2-end match. Won first end and was holding 4 on last end when "connection broke". I lost ratings points and my opponent gained points. Opponent was aslo straight back into the next match. Why?

Disconnections affect the player whose connection is dropped at that moment, regardless of who was winning. If your connection breaks, even briefly, the system will register it as your loss. If your opponent disconnects, then they lose points instead. This rule has been explained in the forum many times and applies equally to everyone.
