Hey erjc, yea i agree the tournament was very strange, the crown kept getting red, and the tourney lagged out, btw you still play Go?

Both tournaments were ruined the same way today.  

Reversi

"Four in a Row"

.  In both tourneys,  the player 

"juan e.m"

 got to the middle of the standings a little past mid-time in the events.  He then put up the 

DO_NOT_DISTURB

 sign.  As often happens then, the pairings bots cannot overcome the scoring gaps and quits.  That same player uses this "tactic" to win points all the time.  He ruins the events for all others to 

win

 a few cheap points. :(

As I said before elsewhere:

A simple fix for 

DO_NOT_DISTURB

(DND) abuse and PAIRING manipulation is to assess a penalty.  DND use should incur a 5% of score penalty per minute and 15 % for quitting before end of tourney.
