the lag is usualy to do with your set up if it is constant, it also has a lot to do with your connection speed,and other programmes you are running,

I recently found out, lag can also be caused by the type of Java software your running. My Firefox browser and IE use two different Java programs. I lag 90% more with Firefox and the (Sun) Java. On the Tanx troubleshooting page, they give you a link for updating or downloading Java. This is the one I use on IE, and I hardly lag at all with it. Of course this is only useful if your using net v. of Tanx not PC.

ok here the following changes were the solution for my lag . :)

# 1 you need a  2.3 Ghz or better speed in your pc

# 2 atleast  1G of ram noting less

# 3 Nothing less then Dsl , (cable being better) 6 mbps at the very least for connection speed , cable 54mbps works faster

# 4 make sure you ajust your mouse to fast

# 5 Stop visiting porn sites that gives you lots of spyware and lots and lots of malaware not to mention it may make you go blind

# 6 allways but allways have anti virus and spywere as protection softwere

# 7  besides cleaning  cookies run a disk clean up and clean everything up every 2 days , go start then all progams then accesories then system tools then choose disk clean up after you done with that do a disk defrag,  THIS ALONE MAY MAKE YOU FASTER THEN THE DEVIL, also dont download any thing that promesses speed for free ( nothing is free):)

# 8  take all the java updates you get or just update your java

# 9 if you have intel extreme graphics adjust you monitor to 640x480 the bigger your screen the better(big screens help a lot):)

# 10 try joining the *Land Royal Clan* seems like everyone is faster once in, 1 problem there is currently
a long waiting list to Join

thanks for everybody that gave me the info on the lag that i been haveing.its nice to know that there are some nice people playing tanx.

As well as how fast your computer is, you should also consider how fast your internet is.  My computer is SUPER fast.  I have an Athlon FX-57 processor and about 1 gig of ram, but the bummer is that my internet connection is DIAL-UP.
My computer can run the game just fine until 5 or six people play, then right when I am about to shoot, it just stops.........
If you have dial-up, consider broadband. That is what I am getting with my next check :)

I know not everyone has the money but subbing your nik is one of the best ways to clear lag, one way or another without a subbed nik you will eventually pick up lag it's just the way it works. Sponsors of FlyorDie pay for people to use it freely but that is the cost of their stupid advertisments all over your screen whilst playing. To be fair subbing niks is not that expensive and has the advantages of creating your own ops and using the pc version(which I find so much better).
