hi
iv been playing this game now for just over a month, and my rating has gradually improved.

i'm currently between 400/500points in 8ball and feel im playin at decent standard as im confident in potting most shots, and iv noticed most players in this bracket are also very good.

was just wondering is their a big difference in standards between this group of ratings and the ratings of say 600+players.

obviously their is a difference but as i say im new to this site so im just curious as to how much my game has to improve before i can get into the 600+range and stay their consistently
ratings mean nothing m8.
ne 1 hu says they do is arrogant.
ive been up n down like a yoyo,
believe me.
just ignore ur rank, and ul find u play a LOT better on average ne way.

How often they miss. Strategy as well sometimes.
most players above 600 these days rely on defensive tactics and consistently potting or leaving the ball within touching distance of the hole.. few players are exceptions but the higher rated players rely on the defensive side of the game ;)
peer pressure,
plz,
take my advice, and ignore the ratings, you will play better if ur not thinking about it, jus enjoy the game and company, relax, and dont take it seriously, and ul have a gr8 fun career on the site.
dont fall in the pitfall of becoming obsessed with rate and boasting about how gr8 u are like some, cos its not big, not clever, and frankly pathetic my friend.
so plz, jus carry on like u are, ignore the rankings, and enjoy amigo :D

na i play for the fun m8 and its a cool way to relax after work.
still their nothing wrong with wanting to see how far up i can get.
a bit of competitivness never hurt anyone.
agreed m8, agreed.
all im saying is beware, plz dont become another arrogant player :D
im sure u wont, u seem to kno the score.

I would say there wasn't alot of difference, it seems most of it comes down to confidence on taking the shot. When I make a new nick and go up, the hardest stage to pass I think is from 400-500, maybe this is because i underestimate these players. Also alot of the 600 ratings are just 500 raters who have had a good day so they are about the same standard, although obviously the people who never go below 600 are better.
