Hi all, as you all know... the Shuttle Columbia was destroyed on re-entry to the atmosphere yesterday... a national tragedy to be certian.. I just wanted to post my thoughts on it...as I can remember when Challenger was lost in 1986... it's a dangerious game they play...NASA, the only comfort in this is the crew died doing what they loved and wanted to do...not many people in life can say that.....one NASA administrator said: "the astronauts dedicated their lives to tackling scientific challenges for everyone on Earth, and that they did it with a happy heart." to me.... that says it all...the crew knew the risks...but it does not make it any less painful when all is lost...for those who would like to learn more about Columbia's final mission...review the media / press kit on the NASA web site for STS-107 by

Hey , Thanks for the link. Not many can say they love what they do in life, many don't realize their dreams. I think it would be a safe bet to say the crew and their families were very proud of them. Be thankfull we have such a program, it opens all kinds of possibilities for all. A terrible accident indeed :(
My heart goes out to all of them. I really feel sorry for all of their families. May God Bless them and their families and I pray that they finally made it home safely. May God Bless Them.
