Greetings: I have had a problem with firing mode. It takes a little longer lately for the actual rocket or nuke to leave the barrel. Instead of 1-2 seconds, it's now taking 3-4 seconds. This problem was improved when the new game arrived, but the firing problem is back. Also, I wish F.O.D. would quit using those cheap (made in Afghanistan) grenades because 1 out 5 Xplodes before it leaves my barrel. Please suggest a way 2 improve this problem... Snakebite

LOL @ cheap grenades..... :^O A tip on grenades that has worked for me when launching... place pointer at the very top of the game image screen.. (the sky...so to speak) and let em go.... they seem to have a great range using this launch method. good luck ! ;) GR

Heh.. the ground's too high -that's what's exploding your grenades. If you play in a 16-bit color quality you can see the terrain spots (in a darker green), and avoid grenading yourself (sometimes having a mouse raised to the top of the screen isn't high enough)
You are correct about the firing and grenade problems. A lot of people would think that grenades exploding as soon as they left your barrell would be the fault of inexperience, a case of shooting the terrain and then yourself, or not holding down fire long enough. I suppose many people would think that if it didn't happen to them on a regular basis. This is one of the many problems the game has had of late.
