Here's a great site if you're a Civil War buff or interested in
genealogy. It's called The Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System.
This is a huge database filled with information on people who served
during the Civil War.

There's over 5 million names in the database, and it's simple to use.
Submit a query based on any of the following criteria: first name,
last name, Union or Confederate, state, unit and function. There's
also information on battles, national parks and cemeteries.

ghost  do you have any other links towards the vietnam war but in pretty good detail , i mean some sites are just terrible when it comes to providing the vital aspects,points etc..of the vietnam war...lol u dont have search for ages lookin for a site ghost...but is there any links on that site for the vietnam war?

Hmmm..the Vietnam War was a great loss for the Americans (we lost). We should have stayed out of that war.

CIVIL WAR....BAH!  I live in the south...GET OVER IT ALLREADY!  I grew up in the North and there isn't NEARLY as much REVOLUTIONARY WAR nonsense as there is Civil War balogna..pahtooey!

as for the Vietnam War...Ho Chi Mihn LOVEDE the USA..ASKED us to help him and we stabbed him in the back...then when he said ok...I gotta fight the French myself I guess...we ignored it until the French begged us to save their CREPES!  Then the froggy little buggers turned around and sold weapons to ... Ho Chi Mihn!!!!   Gotta love 'em.  

It isn't that we shoulda stayed out of it...we SHOULD have BACK the Vietnamese and taken the FRENCH down!!!!!

lol...by the way..in Richmond, VA there is a a street with all these wonderfuly grand Civil War statues...Jackson, Lee, Maury, etc...its named Monument Avenue...its CALLED.."Loser's Row"....lol

When we allied (kind of) with the Soviet Union in WW2, and after we had brought Hitler down, the US should have gone after the Soviet Union. French...hahahahah.

CONFED  that is true ..the americans shouldnt of ever gotten involved ..and so you paid the consequences..as for the french ..so much did the traditional european warfare help them...they were slaughtered as soon as they entered the territory of the guerrila soldiers.i cant really remember but for the french to win they would of had to out number the ARVN on a ratio of 6:1 or 10:1!!
as for russia etc..communism ...hmmm..or parties such as the indochinease communist party(personally i think communism can either help a country or make it worse)>ho chi minh ..i think some of his theorys are quite good. for eg: "the tiger and the elephant" (1946) he made a good point in comparison with the 2 countries (vietnam + france) but he over emphasized his theorys saying he would crush the french etc...well the vietnamese did cane the french ..ermm and the americans..lol
