Super go player, the way to count territory is by counting the empty intersections u surround. 

If you want I know one preety good book series called Learn to play GO. It has five volumes and of course you need to start with first one.

If you have truly memorized the contents, and done what I've stated previously, then you shouldn't have any problem progressing.
